Bill you foresee Zamula being a healthy scratch through the deadline? outside of injuries'. - hello it's me 2050
I wish they would send him to the Phantoms honestly. Keep getting him reps. The schedule is somewhat light over the next two weeks.

Zamula is no longer waiver exempt. They should be playing him.

What debate? Frost is being given the ice time, and as expected, he is responding positively.
Hmm, give him the ice time, and he performs. What a concept. Seems he is more useful playing than sitting in the press box. |

My bad I forgot about that. They should 100% be playing him. |

It's not hard to figure out. Hopefully at some point, Tortorella figures it out.

Yes, he'll get in occasionally, but I think he'll be scratched regularly and they go 12F/6D more often than not. |

Zamula and Frost are tied up with 42 games a piece this season. Equal hatred from the coach? |

Way different situation. Not related at all next to Torts being the coach.
Zamula is a first year dman, still learning his way. We have lot's of dmen, and his skillset is nothing particularly special, or individual to him.
Frost is a leading point producer from last year. The Flyers have noone with Frosts skill set, and sitting him seems to be a coach bias. |

They juggle combos a lot. Even if his first shift is with Poehling and Cates, he'd get his typical usage. Also, they still could go 11F/7D. |

I’d rather they went 11/7 and sat him. It seems obvious to everyone but Torts that Nic is just not an NHL player anymore. Playing him 5 minutes out of some misguided loyalty to him is pointless and detrimental to the team. |

It is absolutely on the GM at this point.
If the coach doesn’t have the testicular fortitude to make the correct decision because he doesn’t want to “embarrass” the player, it is on the GM to be the “bad guy” and make the decision. |

I’m more so talking about the 11/7, take the option away via trade. Torts has been regularly scratching ND |

I’ve really liked how frost has played of late. When he’s out there, we seem to have a lot of chances. I’d just be increasing his ice time as of. NOw, even if he makes the odd mistake. |

It is relevant, as most of the scratches happened at the start of the season. Right..so he deserved the benefit of the doubt and more than 2 games to prove himself. He also led the team in the preseason for points.
As Bill stated...he is the Flyers leading scorer since his talk with Torts...that is now for more than the last 10% of this season...so yeah..given the chance he produces..last year, this year.....
So no, not bringing up an old argument, stating why the Frost and Zamula scratches are completly different. Disputing your topic that you brought up. |

I think at the tdl you might be able to get like a 6th rounder for staal. Or would be epic to get rid of rr. Even though he’s played better this year, no one in their right mind would take him without us retaining. I hope I’m wrong but I don’t think there are any gm s out there that stupid. |
