Oh god. Woof. |

Part of me thinks there’s no way we can win a cup with Brodzinski as our 3C. The other part of me thinks there might be something to this 3rd line. |

For those that like these things.
It's tough to say if he can anchor a 3rd line into the playoffs but he has sure played well for what he is. Wouldn't scoff at an upgrade over him but i could go either way if other positions get addressed |

He has pleasantly surprised me of late. He’s playing well and looks to be clicking with Kakko and Cuylle. Question is, do we feel comfortable with him come playoff time? |

Brodzinski at the 4C would make that line so much better. |

It would have to come at the expense of Fartlay Goodrow and that would never happen |

I just think we need to add a 4.3 million player, could be winger, center, defenseman...
just get that quality player in here
I feel pretty good about the depth overall

We need a center, maybe Bjugstad? Someone that could step up into a bigger role if needed. Add a more physical/better 3rd pair LHD and let’s take our chances |
|
|
|
Bjugstad is a rare case of a team trading him at the deadline and then resigning him in the off-season. |

It’s definitely a tough call they have to make pre TDL. JBrod I think has to play at this point (in the playoffs).
This is why I brought up last night Trocheck to 1RW, still trade for a center who would play 2C, and that lets them keep the 3rd line intact. If it falters then you move the addition to 3C and Trocheck back to 2C.
I know it’s probably a crazy thought but it does prevent them from having to trade for a RW (and mainly giving up assets for one)
I’m dumb tho 😔 |

When push comes shove I think they’ll sit Goodrow if they can. They don’t need to right now, but they do have brains that tells them he can be the 13th F |

I still think Brodz should be 4C between Goodrow and Vesey, and we go for an upgrade at 3C. |

Wonder if they could get Danualt from LA. Considering they traded for PLD after they signed him, maybe it’s possible. But he could be prefect for what I’m saying, moving Trocheck to RW because he wins faceoffs too and his salary is right around where we could fit |

Sissons is my #1 choice for 3C. Cap hit is great, solid all around player, and hes under contract for 2 more years... so hes not a rental. |

TJ i see your point here but I don't think NYR brass have any intention on moving Trocheck to wing. He's been a beast at center, and he's a main cog on that line with Bread and Laf.
I do like Danualt for the third line center role, move JBrod to 4th C

I dont like Danault because it eats up ever dollar of available cap space that we have. |

I know I get it. I want them do everything in their power to get the first line going consistently. It’s been a bugaboo all year. This idea stems from not trading for one (RW) and that in itself is a miracle coming from me
And breaking up the 3rd line is now a risky proposition imo also. They finally have something |

Maybe were also looking at this the wrong way. Why be rigid and see the lines as 3rd and 4th and not just as 2 lines? So if we go after, for example my target, Sissons. Why move Brodz if its working? Why not just put Sissons between Goodrow and Vesey? Both lines get their 12 or so minutes of even strength play. Maybe one line gets a bit more depending on how their looking and the feel of the game? Sissons would slot as the PP2 C, he will get PK time since hes good at that too. He will get his minutes. |

Yea could see that..get Dowd too as an example. You know I’m with you on sissons, I just haven’t seen anything where he’s available and it’s mostly us saying it. Rolling 4 lines would be a huge benefit to the lineup. They need to find a way to scratch Goodrow to make that really work tho |
