You can visibly see the PP ruin this teams confidence in real time. It's nearly every damn game. |

Way to go big Jeff. Barely tried on the previous goal. Drop passes to the other team on that one. |

Crazy how EK was the only deal dubas could make and how lethal this team is now….only $11m for how many seasons. Bargain for that elite level of talent. |

Way to know when to use your time-out Sully.
Maybe send someone out there to fight and try to change momentum. You know, maybe stir-up some emotion from your banal and hyper pedestrian team.
Nah, keep trusting the process.

Dont forget the Pens might be giving a 1st round pick to SJ this year. IMO, you trade Guentzel this year and hope you’re competitive enough to give SJ the 15th-ish pick. Guentzel gives you back a later 1st round pick.
Then at the start of the 24-25 season possibly finding a spot for Rust. Throw Smith and Rakell with Sid, boost their numbers and trade Smith, Rakell, and Pettersson at next years deadline |

Well, it's either fire the coach today or massive roster changes. Can't keep the coach and just tinker with the players and expect anything to change.
Trade Jake, trade Karlsson and trade Rackell. All could bring significant returns back. Bring in some guys that are hungry. Bring in some guys that have some edge to their game. Clearly this team as assembled doesn't have the will or care to make a run this season. |

TOR for Knies + 1st in 2024. PIT has to get somebody who can play this season and has potential...Knies fits the "Tippett" mold that Dubas is looking for. Maybe he can squeeze out a lower level prospect or mid round pick next season as well.. |

Did Jake quit or get traded halfway thru the third?
I think we've seen the last of Guentzel in a Penguin sweater. |

Pens need like a whole new top six. It’s been the main problem for years. |

Two completely different thoughts. The first was flippant, the second is serious. |

He got hurt. Jammed up against the boards and it looks like his wrist is hurt. |

You are kidding aren't you. No one would want EK and that salary. Pens would have to retain $$ and give up assets not get assets to get rid of him. Same with Rakell and his contract. Pens are stuck with both. Guentzel should get you a late first and a prospect if his injury isnt serious |

A real possibility sadly. We'll see how bad he's hurt. Wonder if they'll go beyond rentals if they don't find a hot streak immediately. |

I had hopes that they'd rectify the PP as this season progressed...its really been their Achilles heal... I've pretty much lost that hope, now.
I've watched pretty much every game this season and they were the better team, besides the PP, most nights. There's a quality hockey team there that needs a shake up. I really do think a full coaching staff change could possibly do that... But I also really think that's not even on Dubas radar, sadly. |

Right handed 3 time Norris winner, including last season's, playing the best defense of his career on pace for 60 points mostly of which at even strength. Most teams would want him... Most teams have little to no salary cap. Hardly any cap space across the league |

It's possible they can only dress 10 forwards tonight?... On 2nd night of back to back... |

His major accomplishments are in the rear view mirror. At 11.5M for 3 more yrs no one is taking that on. Pens would have to retain 50% for 4 yrs. Very bad move by Dubas just crippled their rebuild even further. |

There are tons of teams that would love to get Karlsson and have cap space. Just not the teams that are going all in at the deadline. Anaheim, Seattle, Ottawa and Montreal would all be perfect matches for Karlsson and all have assets for a good return.
The Pens don't NEED to trade Karlsson but depending on anything else they do it might be a prudent move. Only if the return is great though. |

I get that you're in your 80's and perhaps a tad senile but winning the Norris in the past 8 months and being on pace for 60 points, most of which at even strength, isn't fitting your narrative. Also, his cap hit is less than that. Teams would absolutely love to have EK, which you said they wouldn't at all, if the cap hit wasn't as high... And there was actually cap space around the league... |
