A trade is inevitable given what was leaked to the media last weekend.
I have a hard time believing the Flames approached Markstrom with this if they had not agreed to compensation for retention which is said to be what killed the deal at the 11th hour.
A 1st, Holtz and Casey I hope if significant salary is retained on Marky.

The Athletic ranks the flames farm system as 15th best this morning.

After last nights game, I’m not so sure about Wolf being top 5. Let’s hope he gets there.

I think they need to make their moves. Tough on the players and the rest of the team knowing they are about to lose some pretty major players in the room.

Good point but it sounds like Conny has set his prices and when someone pays them he will deal. The deadline is 3 weeks today so you gotta be patient and let things playout IMO.

Let’s trade all our top 4 D men and put a rookie in net. That should work out well.
I guess it depends on what’s coming back to replace them. I can see Andersson being in the same situation as Hanifin when he’s on an expiring contract. By then one would think that some of the farmhands will be ready to take control.
What’s Conroy do with Kylington? Ufa at the end of the season. Does he sign him early? Or try to trade him out?

I dont put a lot of faith in anything Weekes says but found it interesting Ras's name is now out there.
I think Kylington has played well enough to warrant an extension and I would think they are talking now.

Definitely sign Kylington. I am really impressed with how well he has played coming in cold.

Rumour was Holtz but more added if retaining salary. Not sure if there was picks involved as well. Mercer would have been my choice maybe if he sends Tanev with him that may get Dawson.

Pittsburgh claims Phillips. Probably f with Guntzel out ,he’ll get time with Crosby. Raising his value then we’ll see a Hanifin for Phillips trade coming.

Sorros is about the same size. Wolf was not ready to play that game. He played like poop. Dude has managed to do well in all previous leagues so I am not going to give up on him just yet.

Have to be an exceptional athlete when you’re as small as him. Others have done it but I agree, most goalies are 6’4” or bigger now.
I’m willing to see him play a few games in a row to see if he can handle the pressure of the NHL game. Worse case it’s improves our draft position.

I have no idea what happened there, but I feel sorry for his kids.

At one point in the last game, Zary took some shifts with Backs and Mange, which got me thinking......Coleman, with some Salary retianed, would garner a pretty decent return.

I know Coleman is great in the room but I would not blame him if he does not want to go through a retool.
