1. Fact - they are 5th in the conf. 2. Opinion - they are 5th in the conf in large part cause of their youth which are evolving under Torts. You can argue #2 if you like, but you simply cant argue #1. Opinion - you have something called TDS. Only in this instance its Torts Derangement Syndrome. This is usually solved by actually watching the games. - 26912 PP1
When exactly did I dispute where the Flyers are in the conference? We'll start there.

Not with guys like Tanev and Hanafin out there. Even Chykrun with a year left will be a top target. Those are the guys teams will bid high on. Once/if those guys are are dealt GM's will circle back to the Walkers of the world. - Pelle31Forever
The price tag for Hanifan will be more than a 1st round pick. I would argue this year Walker is a more impactful player than Tanev. Walker will be highly sought after this deadline. |

Facts - I mean after all - who would know better ... right?
- jackfrost
Hockey players frequently use cliches and make statements not to rock the boat in public. If Frost thought he was being treated completely fairly by Tortorella, why did he seek out a meeting with him?

the more I read Bill's twitter the more I think he sounds like you
"If the player hadn't been yo-yoed around the first 1/3 of last season and the first half of this season, this still would have happened but just sooner. It's happening now despite-- not because of --the HC's handling."
"Frost would have done it anyway -- and sooner -- if he hadn't been yo-yoed in and out of the lineup. I'm not giving Torts credit on this one. There are things I will give him credit for."

If the price is right. I don't want the Flyers to make a trade just to make a trade, nor do I want the Flyers to just give away their players. Briere has to balance the return he is getting on any player with the impact to the team and the room. This is not a team that is heading for legitimate lottery odds, this is team playing their butts off and paying the price to win hockey games. So I am for trading any player on the team, but it has to be something that will move the Flyers closer to legitimate contention in the near future. So if the Flyers don't get their price (1st round pick or 2nd round pick + prospect) they should keep Walker. I would rather watch Walker play for this team in the playoffs and walk away versus being traded for a 3rd round pick. - jd250
If the Flyers aren't going to re-sign Walker, then they should trade him for the best offer they get. Even if it doesn't meet their asking price.

No, you don't grasp what re-building means, and honestly I don't think you are capable of understanding what re-building means. - jd250

People on this site know that I have been saying this about Frost for 2 years now, this is not something new. You need to pick your head out of your butt and the stat sheet and actually watch the games to see how players play. Frost has been treated like he needs to be treated to get the best out of him. This is what you don't understand. - jd250
More rhetoric and stupidity. It's your new pet phrase because Tortorella said it.
Why did you edit out and not respond to the facts from the Boston game that showed that you were wrong? |

Why? Walker will be highly coveted by the Toronto Maple Leafs, Dallas Stars, Edmonton Oilers, possibly the Detroit Red Wings and Tampa Bay Lightning could all need help on the blueline, and a veteran to stabilize the backend who is having a strong season could help either of those aforementioned teams.
As of today, Dallas has the 30th pick, Edmonton the 23rd pick, Toronto the 22nd, and Detroit 19th.Tampa does not have a 1st round pick this year or next year, but they have a 2nd rounder next year. So there are options here. I would think Dallas or Edmonton are the best bets. - jd250
Do you have to be schooled on the trade deadline again this year? There is going to be quite a few defenseman that might be available that are better than Walker is. He might get a 1st but it is by no means a slam dunk. He won't be coveted.

LOL, Tanev is a dominant defender in this league. He is a much better player than Walker is.

I apologize. When made the point that I did on the last page, I didn’t realize someone already stated Frost has gone 24 games without a point the season. With this said, Frost has played less games this season and the other players played more. 24 is a big number to go pointless out of 43 games. - roenick97
all im asking is out of those 24 games, how many of them did he play with grinder/nonoffensive skilled teammates |

I didn't see the Boston game, and to be honest it was not relevant to what I am talking about. Like I said to you yesterday, you need to look at actual numbers, not percentages. |

He may be more physical, but I think Walker is better offensively and still an adequate defender, even if he defends differently than Tanev does. |

I would say that it is you that will be schooled, but then again, one has to be open to learning for one to be "schooled". |

LMAO. You are a complete and utter fool. You literally said on page 7 of this thread that you would like to see how he plays against a team like Boston. I gave you the facts about how he played in a recent game against Boston. Now you say it's not relevant?
Your last statement above is collossally stupid. Showing that you have zero understanding of basic statistical data. Honestly, you couldn't make yourself look more foolish.

You asked why there is no uproar over Laughton only playing 12 minutes. Apparently you did not grasp my answer. It's because he is not a young player! On a rebuilding team, fans aren't upset if a veteran doesn't play a lot. It's the young players that the team should be rebuilding with that they don't want to see have diminished ice time. The simplest of things need to be explained to you.
