I mean isn't the writing on the wall. He has been getting scratched. I wonder if they look to move him. You know someone going into the playoffs would love to add him. Seems like there is a team every year looking for toughness. - J35Bacher
I’d move him right to Chicago….Nick Foligno is a nice player….but they need to surround their young star with some toughness. Bedard needs a few guys like this. |

you think their record is any diff if he wasn't on the team? you think he helps them win games? - hello it's me 2050
Absolutely Hathaway helps win games for this team. Not all value shows up in points or in naturalstattrick. |

Heard Vancouver is kicking the tires on Risto, and I read the Flyers are willing to retain 20%-30% of his salary but if they do the Flyers want a 1st round pick in return. Not sure the Canucks would do this, but as an alternative I would take Vancouver's 3rd this year and their 2nd round pick next year for Risto with 25% salary retention. |

You just posted that GH does not help the Flyers win. If you really believe that, what value do you think he has? Oh, and I played varsity BTW. - jd250
correct take him out of the lineup and the flyers does not change imo.

I will be ASTOUNDED if the Flyers move Risto while only retaining 25% and then get anything better than a 4th round pick in return. After next year maybe this becomes plausible. Maybe

hear from where? your peeps at the rink?
didnt they just acquire zadorov few months back?
a 1st is laughable even at 50%. So a guy who plays the least amount of minutes on the flyers will get a 1st. What color is the sky in your world? |

Same with Reaves. Dudes cannot play anymore and their skillset is no longer required in the league.

It amazes me to no end how some people actually think the way you do. Of course the game has morphed, but unless they remove all physical play, all fighting, then guys like ND will find a job. There’s a reason the NHL is still scattered with guys like him. The major difference is that in the last 20 years these guys have to be able to keep up with the play….the game is faster, there’s less impeding allowed in the game.
And of course he’s protected his teammates….that’s why a guy like Scott Laughton goes on the radio and specifically mentions them.
Now will the NHL become what you think it is? Maybe one day….hopefully I never have to see it. |

I would argue a guy like Seeler does more to say "protect" teammates the Desluariers. Seeler can play regular shifts, throw a solid hit if needed and will fight if called upon.

The real issue with Frost is that he does not play like a "Flyer" so most fans do not like him. On the other hand people also think because he is a skilled player he should somehow be scoring 70-80 points a season.
He is a talented player that seems to be growing into the middle six center role. His overall game has improved the last two seasons and he is starting to put up more points.
That's enough for me. The Flyers really need him to be a legit NHL center that contributes 55-65 points a season or more.

I would steer clear of Zegras. He is still young so maybe he can mature, but there are warning signs and personally I prefer to stay clear of players with warning signs around their character and work ethic. |

It's not about "Flyers hockey". I think the issue is Frost has not played consistently. Now over this past season, especially since the beginning of January, he has played more assertively and has also done the job defensively, and I think if he continues to do this, no one will have an issue with him, and the crusade can finally end. |

2 seasons of over 60 points before his 23rd birthday on a brutal team? Bring him in, let him get “Torts-a-fied”….his skill is undeniable…like all kids, maturity is an issue. |

Everyone keeps saying Tanev to VCR….which would make 3 trades between Calgary and VCR within 3 months.. |
