Again, you don't have a clue when it comes to Frost. Frost is getting the ice time now because he is playing better. As Torts said, Frost has a tendency to be a perimeter player but lately he is attacking the middle of the ice, and when he does things open up for him. You saw it last night how Frost was using his speed to attack the middle of the ice and he got a penalty shot as a result. It's not the coaching messing with Frost, its Frost finally getting it through his head how he needs to play in order to be an effective player. Hopefully he will consistently play this way moving forward, because I have seen him have good games against teams like Arizona and then regress again. - jd250
Again, you're clueless. The facts don't support your opinion. You're easily manipulate by Torotorella. Torts said, Torts said LOL. Frost has been playing at a solid level on both sides of the puck way back into last season. That's a fact, supported by the facts. None of your rhetoric and fantasy can change that fact. The coach was a jackass for scratching Frost. It's that simple.
Here is another fact. When have you ever been right about anything? |

Ersson was good when he had to be last night. Frost had a great game. This team keeps fighting and never gives up. Four in a row. woohoo |

They are not "antics", it's called coaching! I have said for years that Frost has to be more assertive, not defer, shoot more, and now you are seeing a very, very good NHL head coach pushing Frost in the same way. Frost is at his best when he is playing with confidence, taking some risks offensively and driving the play. - jd250
It's antics and it's bad coaching.

In recent games
2 assists against Dallas
2 assists against Colorado
2 assists against Tampa Bay
Goal and an assist against Winnipeg - MJL Needs to put the biscuit in the basket more. I get that he is playmaker first, but this team needs more scoring and he needs to provide it. His game has certainly improved and I have noticed that he is getting better at the dot too. Not a hater. Just need to see that consistency which he apparently is beginning to show. |

Honest question. Is TK better than Voracek at the point Voracek signed his longterm extension? - mickel25
He has more fight in him on a consistent basis. That said, let’s see if TK can sustain this fiery play.
I’d trade him if the avv starts above 9. I wouldn’t trade him until the off-season though. |

right, and in 24 games he had zero points. don't expect him to score every game but recently he had a 3 games stretch with no points. last night is what we all want from him.

Honest question. Is TK better than Voracek at the point Voracek signed his longterm extension? - mickel25 That's a very good question, but I may not be the right person to ask. I never was a big fan of Voracek, so therefore, I would take TK's game over Voracek. Voracek was a play driver and this team misses a player like that currently (especially getting the puck in the zone on the PP), but I thought he played on the perimeter too much. TK gets in the middle of things more and he is a better goal scorer, so I probably take TK over JV.

Very different players, tough comparison. I’d say at this point Jake is a better player, couple more seasons like this from TK and maybe that changes. TK though, you love what you’re getting from him and he’s a bit of a one man army. Jake always felt like you wanted more, like he could have been better. |

Fair for the team is under $9mil per. Fair for TK is probably $9.5mil + per year.
The Flyers should trade him. They would get 2-3 high end assets back. They need that more than they need TK for the next 9 years.

If he had TK's fire he would have certainly been a better player, but he didn't have that element most of the time. TK gets involved and goes to the net while Jake stayed mostly on the perimeter IMO. |

It was against his favorite punching bag of a team. Let's see what he does in Toronto on Thursday. He always seems to follow up a dynamic game with a dud. More consistency is needed against the big boys of the league. - Phillywhiteout
Frost has been producing against the top teams...

You're trying to insinuate that he only scores against certain teams or weaker teams. We can look at the facts of his play this season and last, and see that is not true.

This team has a legit shot at the playoffs and he is going nowhere. The off season could be a different story if possible negotiations hit a snag.

Agreed no chance he gets traded this year. I do not even want that really.

The right button I guess for Frost is playing him and giving him ice time.
Tortorella got his rocks off with Frost coming back at him. It's proven that if they stop (frank)ing with the kid, he will produce. - MJL
maybe torts made frost a better player

Well they need a back up goalie without Hart, so maybe Frost can do that as well.
SMH at what people expect. He is scoring more points than anyone on the team right now, using his body, using his speed...he drew 3 penalties last night..well 2 penalties and a penalty shot.....he is blossoming right in front of our eyes, and people on here are still finding a reason to nitpik his game. There are far worse things happening on the Flyers than Frost.

Zero chance. This isn’t the maple leafs who pay any forward who can score 11 million - Hextall271
But they aren't going to pay him 11 million. 9.5 is quite a difference.
With the cap going up pretty significantly, people need to realize the new reality where contracts will be going. The MAX contract is 16.7
So 9.5 in comparison is not even close.

I gave him accolades for getting better at the faceoff dot and he actually had a physical element to his game last night. However, he only has 9 goals on the season and this team needs more from him in that category on a team that struggles to score.

I’ve been very pleased with his play of late. Driving play. Good passes and when he’s on the ice the team seems to always be a threat to score. I’d be boosting his ice time. |
