It's amazing the excuses the Frost detractors make. How they babble and make up fantasy when you confront them with the facts on the player. He has to play the right way. If you look at the facts, it's indisputable that he does and has been playing the right way.

the reason he doesn't like "rhetoric" is because he has no experience to put any of it in context. stuff like the locker room means nothing to him because he's never been in one.

There's something missing in your post. It is completely absent of any facts. NHL games, especially for young players trying to make their way in the league. Never mean zero. I can't take you seriously. Come back to me with some facts instead of rhetoric and unsubstantiated opinion.
- MJL
1. Fact - they are 5th in the conf. 2. Opinion - they are 5th in the conf in large part cause of their youth which are evolving under Torts. You can argue #2 if you like, but you simply cant argue #1. Opinion - you have something called TDS. Only in this instance its Torts Derangement Syndrome. This is usually solved by actually watching the games.

and this is why laughton has been a career 3rd 4th liner not that there's anything wrong with his role
- 2Real

He has done great in his role. He is a great leader on the team. But this year he has been a bit invisible.

I think its as simple as he needs to play on the wing. When he gets extended mins there he does well.

And he was still a country clubber that took many nights off. He COULD have been so much more if he had the fire that TK has. Yep, not budging! you keep talking about points. How many goals did he have? That number could have been much higher if he went to the net more. That's a fact Jack!

Agreed, I have always said he does his best work as a winger.

Krebs is the kind of buy low player they should be giving a look. I do not want him in a trade for Laughton though.
- mickel25

Two totally different players but at the time of the G trade, did anyone have huge hopes for Tippett? Did we see an 8 year deal down the road? I didn't. I thought he could be decent but I didn't envision home being a part of the long term.

Krebs could be similar. I'm not predicting it but who knows?

I continue to prepare myself for a quiet trade deadline by the Flyers.
- jd250

Do you want them to be aggressive? They aren't doing much of anything, if anything, outside of Walker and/or Seeler.

Deathstar will destroy the planet before the final horn would sound
- nails

Randal: So they build another Death Star, right?
Dante: Yeah.
Randal: Now the first one they built was completed and fully operational before the Rebels destroyed it.
Dante: Luke blew it up. Give credit where it's due.
Randal:And the second one was still being built when they blew it up.
Dante: Compliments of Lando Calrissian.
Randal: Something just never sat right with me the second time they destroyed it. I could never put my finger on it-something just wasn't right.
Dante: And you figured it out?
Randal: Well, the thing is, the first Death Star was manned by the Imperial army-storm troopers, dignitaries- the only people onboard were Imperials.
Dante: Basically.
Randal: So when they blew it up, no prob. Evil is punished.
Dante: And the second time around...?
Randal: The second time around, it wasn't even finished yet. They were still under construction.
Dante: So?
Randal: A construction job of that magnitude would require a helluva lot more manpower than the Imperial army had to offer. I'll bet there were independent contractors working on that thing: plumbers, aluminum siders, roofers.
Dante: Not just Imperials, is what you're getting at.
Randal: Exactly. In order to get it built quickly and quietly they'd hire anybody who could do the job. Do you think the average storm trooper knows how to install a toilet main? All they know is killing and white uniforms.
Dante: All right, so even if independent contractors are working on the Death Star, why are you uneasy with its destruction?
Randal: All those innocent contractors hired to do a job were killed- casualties of a war they had nothing to do with. (notices Dante's confusion) All right, look-you're a roofer, and some juicy government contract comes your way; you got the wife and kids and the two-story in suburbia-this is a government contract, which means all sorts of benefits. All of a sudden these left-wing militants blast you with lasers and wipe out everyone within a three-mile radius. You didn't ask for that. You have no personal politics. You're just trying to scrape out a living.
(The Blue-Collar Man (Thomas Burke) joins them.)
Blue-Collar Man: Excuse me. I don't mean to interrupt, but what were you talking about?
Randal: The ending of Return of the Jedi.
Dante: My friend is trying to convince me that any contractors working on the uncompleted Death Star were innocent victims when the space station was destroyed by the rebels.
Blue-Collar Man: Well, I'm a contractor myself. I'm a roofer... (digs into pocket and produces business card) Dunn and Reddy Home Improvements. And speaking as a roofer, I can say that a roofer's personal politics come heavily into play when choosing jobs.
Randal: Like when?
Blue-Collar Man: Three months ago I was offered a job up in the hills. A beautiful house with tons of property. It was a simple reshingling job, but I was told that if it was finished within a day, my price would be doubled. Then I realized whose house it was.
Dante: Whose house was it?
Blue-Collar Man: Dominick Bambino's.
Randal: "Babyface" Bambino? The gangster?
Blue-Collar Man: The same. The money was right, but the risk was too big. I knew who he was, and based on that, I passed the job on to a friend of mine.
Dante: Based on personal politics.
Blue-Collar Man: Right. And that week, the Foresci family put a hit on Babyface's house. My friend was shot and killed. He wasn't even finished shingling.
Randal: No way!
Blue-Collar Man: (paying for coffee) I'm alive because I knew there were risks involved taking on that particular client. My friend wasn't so lucky. (pauses to reflect) You know, any contractor willing to work on that Death Star knew the risks. If they were killed, it was their own fault. A roofer listens to this... (taps his heart) not his wallet.

Fair point. I guess all we can say is they hope he is.

Yeah it was a short sighted move IMO. Feels like they want to "rebuild " this sooner than later.

I like that the fight is back rather than the rolling over that has been a contagious disease for many of the past several seasons. Amazing what happens when some of the deadwood gets removed from the equation

agree with the rebuild comment.

I just dont like giving the bag before they show it or at least a little more than he has so far.

once they re-sign TK that will be 15 million tied up on 2 complimentary wingers. With still no elite players on the roster. Now if TK is traded I can tolerate the tippet contract

I apologize. When made the point that I did on the last page, I didn’t realize someone already stated Frost has gone 24 games without a point the season. With this said, Frost has played less games this season and the other players played more. 24 is a big number to go pointless out of 43 games.

When Frost has been placed with skilled linemates he has produced this year and last year. He is not even getting a lot of minutes. He still is not consistently put on the top powerplay.
- mickel25

But he's leading the team in PP points.

The acquisition cost is minimal I am fine with it. Ideally someone like that would be acquired on a FA contract. Would not give a whole lot in terms of assets.

And that tells you why he should get more minutes on the PP. They also need to settle on a group of players for PP1. Drysdale, Frost, TK for sure. They need a net front guy. I think Coots would be ok in that position. Set a group together for a bit and see if they get cookin.
