The fact that Abby is struggling makes me wonder if mgmt has soured on some of their prospects playing down there…and could use them as trade chips to upgrade the big club.
Eg. Raty, Klimovich, Podkolzin.
Side note. Does anyone know if there is anything preventing the baby Canucks signing Kessel and playing him down there until after the TDL ?? - dbot
Abbotsford roster is the 5th youngest in the league. They do have quite a few injuries from some of their better players.
9 points in 36 games for McDonough.
Some of the players probably have not taken the next step that the Canucks would have liked.

It's just raw land and there's an auction, they may not even get the land if they aren't the highest bidder. If they do, there's a lot of underground work that needs to be done, which would take years, I'm guessing.
They should move them to Houston, nice arena there and we are thinking of moving there. - Pacificgem
Houston might be a better location, but not sure if hockey ges over well there. At one time they had the Aeros in AHL, but that was 10 years ago. |

Saskatoon is building a new downtown arena. Good for 15000 spectators. |

They need to, that old barn of theirs was built around 1987 or 1988. |

That is only 10 years older than the one in Houston.
Also, will you now be considering moving to Saskatoon, when Coyotes move there? |

no....definitely not. I think the Toyota Center opened in 2003 and they are putting a 30 million dollar reno into it this year. Either way, I think Houston works much better for me than Saskatoon. |

I believe the Rockets are putting that money into it. I am sure it will be set up even more so for basketball.
I hear Saskatoon is a beautiful place. |

Rogers arena in Vancouver was built around 1995, Griffith almost went broke with that one, I believe? If anyone needs to spend money on some upgrades it's that cheap pr!ck Aquilini. Rogers arena is falling apart. Canucks should move to Saskatoon!! |

I'd say Houston's 2.2M population is better to support an NHL team vs Saskatoon's 300k |

Saskatchewn is dying, it's eating itself to death with all the kids leaving as no one wants to be a farmer. They're disbanding municipalities because there's no taxpayers left in them.

Sure. I didn't include the "metro". It would actually be one of the largest cities that has an NHL team oddly enough.
Chicago, LA, NY are the only larger cities. |

CHL News - sounds like last night's CHL/NHL Top Prospects game will be the final one. Look for the event to be replaced with a two-game series between the best prospects in the CHL vs the best prospects in the U.S.
I think they should go with two teams each and just have a 3 game round robin. |

Benning did a little too much bad and not enough good to warrant another shot as an NHL GM. - manvanfan
Maybe not full GM per se but would not be shocked to see him pick up an NHL job somewhere.

T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, why isn't there a team there? It has the 34th largest TV market in the USA. A team would do well there, I would think.
