The backlash is for the idiot who whines in 72 posts during one thread in a month where Petey is one of the 3 stars of the NHL. No need to play the victim Vantel... - boonerbuck
Yeah there is. I wasn't only pointing a finger at one person, soon as one says something or points something out about Petey there is a backlash.
I think he is a damn fine player and I think both sides have a dollar amount in place and it is now up to those involved to find middle ground.

Mik is a 5m penalty killer. I doubt he survives TDL... - boonerbuck
Not sure any team would be adding him this TDL as anything other than a dump. Maybe in the summer when teams are more flexible... but his value is so low right now it would cost to offload him. |

I'd say 12-13 - manvanfan
That would be a good average. Why they think it’s a no lose gamble to see if he works out. |

I think the third line has been outplaying the second line for at least the last 10 games consistently. They may be the best third line in hockey. So as much as you don't like Garlands salary he is worth it. Not for points production but for everything. He causes sh1t, causes penalties, controls the play, and much more.
As far as Mikheyev like I have said his issue is salary. He is nt hurting the team but with the extra money you can improve the team. He will be on LTIR soon with a hand problem of some sore or part of a trade. I would not worry too much about him.
You should be able to re-sign Lindholm Zadorov Blueger Dakota because of players like Juulsen Hoglander and moving out Kuz Mik and Myers. - VANTEL
I agree, since the All-Star break, six games, Miller has 2 goals 0 assists and Boeser had 2 assists (same game) and 0 goals. They've been no-shows since the break.
The first line hasn't been great either, but they have been more productive. Lindholm has 2 goals and 2 assists while Pettersson has 2 goals and 4 assists, five of those six points at even strength. |

You're not alone. He looks like he doesn't want to be there at times by the lack of effort and lazy mistakes.
That should take some heat off you. - Marwood

I suggest you put down the pencil and actually watch the game. It is beyond crazy and not even debatable to think Garland and Mikeyhev are having the same effect on the Canucks. - VANTEL
You can't stay awake for half the games and over the past decade I have laughed at 90% of your player evaluations. Your bias towards player is only second to Ruby. |

For the first time in quite a while, Miller got more ice time than Petey last night. Petey was dragging his ass again but I think you are right in this theme... Miller's line is the 2nd line. Ice time and production points to that.

I am going to offer you the same advice, stop playing the victim. I was not even thinking of you when I said bring on the backlash.
I was thinking of three other posters that would point out Petey's pluses v minuses.
I think you and I have had a mutual understanding of opinions.

I know that people like to use "fanboy" as a derogatory slam at anyone that speaks their opinion on why someone likes a player when the other guy is trashing the player.
But I am proudly a self proclaimed "fanboy" and I agree with you, Pettersson is a great player, and just one component of the team. If he puts himself above the team he will be traded, of this I'm certain.

Honestly, it's 1A and 1B or 1B and 1A...EP40 has averaged 19:36 in ATOI so far this season and JT Miller averaged 19:36.
I noticed EP40's faceoff percentage has gone up to 49.1%... |

And like today for over the last decade I didn't bother to read your bullsh1t evaluation of prospects seeing I don't recall one ever coming true. I stopped reading them years ago. Like today seeing you mentioned my name in your post I clicked it, seen it was more of your evaluations and closed it immediately and thought "No Thanks"
One thing we both have in common is we both think each other posts are useless. So cheers.

The guy isn't a sexy player but he put up eleven straight 20+ goal seasons, hes got over 400 goals and he's almost at 1000 points. Sometimes ugly gets it done. Words Booner lives by! |

This is probably the best description to date. I think he is a very good player, not generational (Lefty ) but very good. If he puts himself above the team I think PA will pass. |

I don't know where all this nonsense comes from, after going through what Benning put those kids through, all the losing and mismanagement, I don't blame guys for the wait and see approach. Anyway. I'm just ignoring it and enjoying the season. |

Lately Petey has been getting around 1 to 1.5 more minutes more than Miller. Last night the exception. I check minutes end of the games.
I agree on the 1a 1b etc... but people keep pushing the 2c theme which isnt supported very well by facts. Fair is what you are saying... 1a/1b. That's why even though I've been tracking ice time, I havent bothered to point out the ice time until now. The Petey vs Miller thing has been so over played by NH that it's unbearable.
