Felt like everything the Rangers tried worked yesterday.
First line still firing on all cylinders. Great game by Slaf and Caufield.
Defense looked porrous and Josh Anderson is pissing me off.

Love seeing Slaf and Suzuki keep the streaks alive.
Anderson is a lost soul out there. Unfortunately Hughes missed his chance to sell high on him, but you never know, he could be bitten by a radioactive spider and return to form.

What happens when you face a real team instead of the Ducks. Hurts to watch though. I would be satisfied with a .500 record this season as a success for them.

Well Newhook is probably still rusty ( and not helping # 17), that pass he missed from Slaf on the PP, OY... |

I like Anderson. I do.
He brings alot of things to the table that are hard to find. Mostly size combined with speed and grit and enough scoring talent to get 20 goals a season.
He's been incredibly unlucky to begin the year despite playing, overall, very well imho.
Right now? He looks completely lost out there and his lack of hockey sense is hurting the team so many times. Perhaps it's because of the way St-Louis wants them to play, making reads and using their brain which isn't really his style.
I'm sure some team would still be interesting in trading for him but his stock has never been lower so we'll have to wait for some sort of resurgence from him next year.... which could easily happen.
But another season like this one and we're getting into Gallagher territory.

I like Anderson, too.
I think one of the issues is he really does not have a role out there. He clearly is not part of the future with the team, his style of play does not work with Suzuki and Co.
I always felt he would be good with Dach, but well, we know how that went this year...
In the right setting, I think he is a productive 20-25 goal / 45-50 point guy.

i didn't really like that one. or the camaro of that era. they were too bubbly and weird.
i liked the pointy ones from the 80s. and now with the new stuff the camaro and the mustang look good again. |
