When a long time fan of both professional sports teams starting in 1970 becomes more emotionally apathetic to the final result of each season like I have, it makes it much easier to accept the inevitable defeat more tolerable.
I mean, 53 years, or w/e it is of watching these team piss away opportunities one after another tends to condition one to expecting more of the same until proven otherwise.
