So would you trade Jordan Greenway ? Guess Vegas has there eye on him and a Dman. |
|
|
|
In the same trade?
Is that a serious comment?
It can't be. - kingcong39
I’m old enough to remember when the Panthers turned a declining Huberdeau into Matthew Tkachuk.
It can be done with Skinner too |

I wouldn't personally, he at least is a solid guy to have in the bottom 6 for a while. We just need Quinn back so he's not playing up so high in the lineup. |

My only question would be around Jensen. He's having a really down year points wise, is this just Washington hitting the skid they have or has he regressed? I don't want to pay to bring in another guy on who's on the downslope already. |

Huberdeau wasn’t “declining” when the trade was made. And Tkachuk was only available because he wasn’t going to re-sign with Calgary, they had to trade him. That situation is pretty much a one off, and doesn’t really seem comparable to Skinner’s situation. |

I would trade anyone with the standard caveat.
Greenway to LV? Attach a prospect and send me Whitecloud and Carrier.

Not getting him for his points, guy is the Defensive Dman you would look for IMO. Almost 70% Dzone starts, think he would be a good mentor for Power. Signed for a reasonable price for 2yrs to. Hopefully by then Korczak steps up or Strbak is good. |

Huberdeau came off of a 115 point season and could sign a new deal.
While yes, a trade can be done, but it's bananas to think you're getting a return in the same dimension as Matt Tkachuk.
Which I don't think you believe. But these two scenarios are beyond different. |

Makes sense. Strbak may actually be a thing some are saying. I wonder if he's going to be a Bryson type thing or someone who can actually play.
I swear every time Bryson makes a good play he follows it up by doing something that reminds me of a Bantam level house player. |

Skinner, I think you hold 3 million in the offseason and you can get yourself a bottom 6 player and a prospect or pick.
Use that money towards Mittelstadt, Peterka and/or Quinn. And also in a separate trade for a new, impact forward.
That's a dynamic changer. |

saw the E Kane trade from 6 years ago to the Sharks.
At the end of all of that, the Sabres are left with Stiven Sardarian.
And actually a portion of JJ Peterka. |

Imagine a dimension where Ralph Krueger and Jason Botterill weren't burying Montour alive.

Soft, soft and more soft
Combine that with mental fragility and lack of a true leader... Makings if a PO team that loses regularly once there
They need to trade out some of these assets for other assets who brings it. - IonSabres
Agree.
Realistically; this is what it should look like if we are serious about turning this around
