I just etched the Five Nations in Michigan the last international viewing of Eiserman, so here and now I am calling BULLpoop on"David Saad - Dobber Prospects" and his assessment months ago that the kid doesn't separate from his defenders.
I implore you all to pull up some viewings on you tube taht are more than goals.
Sure, there IS a tendency to shoot over better options but that will be coachable fix.
His decision making looks selfish.
Same on the his edgework. He already creates space to shoot the puck. No flash and dash like a Hughes brother. Yeah, he probably needs a responsible centre because he sometimes quits on offering help defensively and he needs an F-1 like Nazar, because you are NOT going to see him barreling into the corners but on the outskirts waiting for the biscuit his way. He is strong ion boards and wins pucks. He is not adverse to board battles at all or jumping in to retrieve pucks taht he might convert to chances.
These are coachable and this isn't Ollie Moore, it is way more...
Like Bedard this is a guy you don't necessarily want deep in the defense zone but deep in the attack zone. and riddle me this? Does Bedsy separate from defenders or play into some, to make short and plays.
I am far to old to try and argue my opinions, especially when I need to work on players I am less sure are NHL picks late in the 2ne 3rd and 4th but this time I stand by my opinion over anybody, but make your mind up yourself all but rinse and repeat all I have suggested here. Later. - wiz1901
I’m not suggesting one thing or another. I’ve seen Eiserman, in game action, on TV twice. That doesn’t really give me much to go on. I’ve seen Lindstrom a number of times but again it’s hard to get a good read. That’s why I enjoy going to see the junior games. You can focus on a player to see what he does out of the play or how he gets involved in the play. For example I could tell you all about Beckett Sennecke. But last season I watched Cal Ritchie probably 15 times and he was so inconsistent and stayed away from contact. Then we hear just before the combine hevhad been injured all season. This year he’s tearing it up.

Don't look now, but Savoie has been on a tear since coming back from injury. 8 pts in 7 games. Good on the kid. Excited to see what his ceiling is. - Chunk
So glad he is back and very happy he is young and able to recover so quickly. The injury looked and sounded very bad. |

Meanwhile, Lardis hasn't played for over a month and is out week to week with an upper body injury. |

No to worry. My guy Ludwinski will pick up the slack! Loving the way that kid plays and is producing points as well. Fast, simple, hard to play against, and is able to create chances for his line mates. |

From what I’ve read and seen, Savoie will remind us of Andrew Shaw. And Ludwinski is like you said, a guy who can play, is a good skater and keeps the game simple. Maybe he can be a shutdown type center? But keep in mind, the biggest hardest step is to make the NHL. |

I'd be happy if two of Savoie, Ludwinski and Lardis become NHLers. Savoie = Shaw, Ski = Bolland, Lardis = Debrincat?

I was thinking Bolland but but dared not say it. I’ve seen Lardis a few times and he’s quite a bit quicker and faster than ADB, has a similar shot and release but he doesn’t go to the tough areas like Debrincat does. |

Football score in Minnesota this afternoon. Wild beat the Canucks 10-7 and score a touchdown in the 3rd. |

I am not accusing anyone of anything, although you are mentioned as Oshawa Paul in one of my profiles.
I would have loved the Hawks to take Cal Ritchie...but they were in love with Ollie.
(EVERYONE knew the kid had a bum shoulder and still played so consider the Av's as lucky that they didn't scamper away think it was hockey sense that was driving the kid's tentative plays in traffic.
You brought up Sennecke and I bite, since I have him as Kyle's menu item in the second, since I keep hearing their are some bad habits continuing when I thought he was gonna get up in the teens in the first round, from what I have seen.
Maybe that'll be the hawks and our Cal Ritchie moment.
I can happily announce that I have three rounds of interesting profiles up and running and many others sprinkled through the 4th round (as I dropped them!)
I cannot tell you how many times today, I typed teh and had to go back and changed it...maybe 50...

It’s hard to say how good Moore will be vs Ritchie in three or four years but Ritchie is a really good player. Maybe the Hawks can target him if/when the Avs need to shed salary or are looking for someone at the TDL. Unfortunately for Ritchie he had an inconsistent draft year. If he was going into the draft this year he’d be top ten.
Another good player on Oshawa is Ben Danford a solid defense first right shot defenseman who as a 17 year old, he just turned 18, wears an “A” and the last time I remember a 17 year old wearing a letter for the Gens was Eric Lindros. Danford is an excellent puck mover, he passes extremely well, his skating is good enough to push opponents outside and he isn’t adverse to mixing it up. Not sure where he’s rated? |

I see you have have Danford ranked in the fourth round. He may be better than that. |

Paul, that is where you are in the profile.
Had him higher, watched more and concluded he will need more than an A as his him to hang his hast as his best attribute.
I listed strengths, but after watching other defenders in the class I dropped him far ou of the last 2nd or 3rd where I had him... |

Haha! I just read it. Nondescript is a good way to put it. Nothing fancy, he passes very well and he gets his assists. But he’s solid defensively.

If I was ambitious, I'd check their record versus playoff and non playoff teams.

The Canes players don’t give the Hawk players any time or space. They’re on them every shift. This is how I’m hoping the Hawks play in future. |

Same. Hawks aren't helping themselves as until the last minute or two it looked like they were skating in quicksand and couldn't complete a pass.
Like I said, Hawks have them where they want them. CAR is gassed after thoroughly outplaying the Hawks for two periods. |

One thing Carolina is doing that many other good teams don’t. They aren’t taking the Hawks lightly, they’re going right at them every play. Sign of a good team.
And yep, the Hawk will come out and walk all over a gassed Carolina team. |
