For those that stay on top of the Ice Hogs, do you think that either Allan or Del Mastro will get a cup of coffee with the big club before the season is over? - Angotti
I would think Kaiser would be first call up, but have no clue how he is playing in Rockford, so i will amend my answer to I have no clue.

Correct, but what are the odds???
Well, actually, when I think about it for a couple mins, the odds are pretty good that it would always be his goals getting called back, as he's the only one who can score - vabeachbear
With all the clutching grabbing interference the Canes were committing against Bedard, it was nice to see him push back and play pissed off, that is a very good sign going forward.
He may be that rare case, well he's already rare, but gets hyper focused when they try to get under his skin. |

They still have the Black Aces that join the team and participate in practices near the end of the season? If so I can see kaiser, Allan and DelMastro called up. Maybe they'll see some actual game action. Gutmann, Reichel and Ryder probably join the group, too.
Edit - And Dach.
Edit 2 - On further thought... The AHL season ends in mid-April, about the same time as the NHL season, so there won't be any Black Ace call ups. Now that I recall, the Black Aces used to join the parent club during their playoffs. We know that won't be happening with the Hawks this season.
So I can see all the current Rockford players staying there during their stretch run and playoffs to get that experience. An exception would be an injury call up or two. |

Some nice pushback from the Hawks last night after getting smacked around in the first.
There's some magic brewing there. You can see it. It just needs a little time to cook and some actual NHL players as a supporting cast. |

Yeah, that second part there is a pretty glaring issue at this point. |

Yeah. It just sucks to have it happen after the fact.
I can't tell you how many times I've been watching the game and I think, oh no, that looked like it might be offside, well they better not score now, it will just be called back.
I'm all for getting the call right, I just wish they could get it right in real time without calling things back after. I don't like the whole challenge and then get a penalty if you are wrong thing. If I'm being honest, I wish they could just relax the rules on offside in a way that keeps play going, have less dead plays and less called back goals. |

I could clearly see the play was offsides when Vlasic threw it back in. But I also saw the linesman call it onsides. I don't know how much good they do out there if they can't get the call right unless it is something for us to female dog about.

I think if it's within 10 seconds of the goal being scored it should be fair game to challenge, but if the entry was 20+ seconds later, nah. It's irrelevant at that point.
Also when reviewing you get 60 seconds to make a determination. If you can't conclusively overturn it in 60 second of review time, the call on the ice stands. |

If by magic you mean Bedard then yes. Based on the last few games since coming back from injury he looks like a top 10 player in the league. He's going to be even more stupidly dangerous when he has more help. |

Very good ideas. I was thinking the other day that a limit on the review time should be there. If it's not obvious enough to overturn quickly then just move along. |

How is this possible? Why would KD risk losing the key piece of the team’s future on waivers? How does KD even have a job at this point??? |

Then review every penalty, icing, offsides call, and goal?
It’s not just about getting the call right. |

The consequential stuff should be reviewed, though. It sure would have been nice if they reviewed Raffi Torres' head shot on Hossa and tossed him instead of action being taken postgame. A five minute power play could have made a difference. |
