I know there's a lot of talk/arguing about him being a legit #1C on a winning team, but I'm not all that worried to be honest, I like what I see.

meh, for me its more about fans never being happy with anything and not looking around the league before making statements

the problem on that team is not him, but he has to do a lot by himself on that god damn team

Even Crosby had a very good team around him with a lot of depth when he won the cup

Eichel was a huge loser or whatever with Buffalo and the lord of the god damn ring with Vegas


We need a team but Habs won their last cup with Roy so maybe fans still think thats how it works, I dont know

yeah, in this case there's definitely the bitter kind of fan who complains for a living, but it also has to do with the constant comparisons that people like to do in MTL, pointing out that "players X, Y and Z around the league are all better than him", when a lot of the time these comparisons aren't actually very solid, either because of the players' age, who they're playing with, the very different contexts that teams can be in (rebuild VS cup contender), etc.
