They cheat by freezing a portion of the beer and removing it. The part that remains liquid has higher alcohol content. Any beer above 11% does this.

little disappointed. doesn't taste much like coffee at all to me. it's not bad. i can drink this too, but i was hoping to be able to taste the coffee taste a little more.

it doesn't smell like coffee either. the smell actually isn't all that pleasant.

i like both of these beers but that chocolate beer from the other day is better than both of these. i will try to find those other coffee beers we talked about.

there was an oatmeal beer there too. should i be trying that?

I've only ever had the mill st. Coffee porter, so i dont know how ir compares to pers, but that one tasted/smelled a lot like coffee.

I think you can get to the 20s naturally, but you're right, some brewers use that trick to get high proofs... Like brewdog with 32% and 41% brews.

the cigar city one didn't really do anything for me, but i liked the others.

i get totally scared about clear or green bottles. after having skunky beers in green bottles and drinking Newcastle from a clear bottle and totally hating it, i fear them by default.

we have a poopload of Innis and Gunn at my store. nobody's buying it. what's this poop like?

Most of their beers are pretty sweet (literally). With the Innis and Gunn Original beer hops are mostly used for aroma and thanks to the oak aging you've got a bit of vanilla for taste with sweet malts dominating for the most part. Each version has a bit of a different taste to it but they still all taste fairly similar.

I wouldn't recommend them to anyone who only enjoys hoppy beers but they're definitely worth a try for anyone else.

Clear bottles is a little risky though. I haven't had a problem with their beers but I'm sure it can be an issue especially since it's imported from Scotland. A lot could go wrong on the way from there lol.

oh poop yeah. i forgot you guys had that banana bread beer. pissed me right off at the time.
