have not been able to find the benite or the blonde here yet, REALLy want to try them
- Don'tForgetTocchet

The blonde is good, but not amazing. The Eau Bénite is worth a trip to Quebec though.

Bought that for the Holidays. The return of the Eau Bénite only for a limited time, in a mix pack with the Blonde de Chambly, the Trois Pistoles and the Maudite. Freaking amazing 12-pack

- _nay_

I've never seen Eau Benite. I'll see if my favourite pub has it next time I'm there. There are a few Unibroue beers like that. One time I was at the pub I noticed one I had never heard of before but I was on the way out. Next time I went it was gone. It was called Raftman or something weird like that.

That reminds me, I need to pick up some more Unibroue 17. I meant to do that today but I forgot. There aren't many bottles left in stores.. that stuff is glorious. I meant to cellar a bottle or two but I drank them all instead lol. Has that made its way south of the border yet?

The Eau Bénite is one of their old beers they haven't brewed for awhile, but they're brewing it again only for that mix-pack. They did the same for the 1837 last summer. Unfortunately, I'd be surprised to see it on tap in a pub.

As for the 17, I've got 4 of those in my parents' basement
Don't know if it has made its way south, I live in Montreal.

Not on tap, but in bottles. They have a ton of different beers at the pub (200+). I honestly don't know if they would get it if it's only available in those 12 packs though. They have a lot of things that aren't available in Ontario otherwise so it's not impossible at least.

A Hawks fan in Montreal? Confusing lol.

ive never tried I&G but i want to. Though something about clear glass beer bottles doesnt seem right to me.
- Crimsoninja

Crims, they were a little Christmas gift to myself last night and anybody who wanted to try them out. Both had obvious sweetness, more than I'm used to, being into IPAs, Double IPAs, etc. I personally loved these I&G offerings, but the Rum Cask took the cake. You definitely pick up on the rum taste once it warms up a bit. Even get a little trace of alcohol vapors too when you smack your palate and breathe in. Sheesh, I sound like a sommelier...

I bought these hoping my "clear glass beer" fears wouldn't be confirmed and for the most part, they weren't. The Original had just a slight touch of skunk on the front end, but nothing that stopped me from drinking it. Both were very enjoyable. I recommend these to all on here!

They make an imperial stout? I guess I'll have to pick one up then. I wish they still sold the summer weisse from them at the LCBO. It's too tasty to just be a seasonal beer.

Have you had the st feuillin cuvée de Paques (Easter)? One of the best Belgium Ale I've ever tasted.

It's a pretty good hefeweizen. Weihenstephaner & Schneider Weisse are probably my favourites in that style.

what makes a beer a hefeweizen or whatever you called it?

all these styles of beer are confusing to me.

Top fermented unfiltered wheat beer. They are pretty yeasty and usually have a pretty distinct banana and clove aroma and/or taste. They are usually pretty carbonated and light in colour too, although Schnieder Weisse is a little more browny orange than the standard lighter yellow/orange.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weissbier

That's even easier. I should've just posted that lol.
