Woot! KICK ASS! By the way. Someone mentioned earlier in the thread and I don't really feel like trying to find it about I believe it was a dark beer with a chocolate taste. Anyone have the name of that again? My friend says all dark beer sucks (he's only has Guiness though) and I told him there has to be better out there. I think this on might turn him.

Could be either. To be honest I like Guiness. It does however have a stronger after taste which I can see why some people are thrown off by it. I'm gon'na see if I can find this anywhere in the arena and give it a try. Thanks for the heads up

Np, it's a good having one beer beer. Very heavy and rich, not for getting drunk. Smooth aftertaste with a little chocolate bite.

If you are looking for something a little more drinkable from Brooklyn Brewery, try their I.P.A - not too expensive but a super hoppy crisp beer, polar opposite from the stout. Being in the Metro you should have no problem finding both of those.

I'm not big on sweet beers, don't mind the heavy stouts etc. But to be honest I like something that I can drink a lot of and then have my wife drive me home and female dog at me!

It's never bad to have a beer than you can drink alot of at one time. But I'm also looking for new beers I can try and having 1 or 2 during the game or what not.. These seem like good choices.

Youngs Double Chocolate Stout and Rogue's Chocolate Stout are both excellent examples. Anyone who says dark beers suck probably wouldn't know a real beer if it were poured all over them. Classic case of judging a book by it's cover.

I am going to try a few of these as well, like to change things up. Was at a bar in Fort Worth one time had 76 beers on tap and another 200 in bottles, cool place.

Anybody try this beer?

It's sold at quite a few stores in NYC, but I'm reluctant to try beers with pop culture items on the label. If anybody's got the lowdown, help out a brutha!

Admittedly, I'm not a huge fan of the heavy beers, but I do appreciate the tastes. That being said (and addressing the food topic as well)...

Favorite taste: Bell's Oberon Ale (a summer brew by local MI company and found in the upper midwest states) accompanied by a juicy bacon cheeseburger

Best getting drunk beer: Pacifico (Mexican beer) with some tasty fish tacos (ah, the spring break memories of Mazatlan)

Worst taste: Meister Brau (Due to lack of money, every keg party at UC Santa Barbara had one. Thank God they don't make it anymore).

I do give kudos to Coors Light for all the packaging they do (Party Ball, cooler box, plastic bottles, etc). After all, they need to do something to compensate for the actual contents of the container.

Lack of money at UCSB? I thought that was a class not taught there.

Coors Light does suck. I'm amazed I was able to drink so many 40 oz bottles of that stuff back in my "40 oz bottle of Coors Light" drinking days. A wise man I knew once observed how truly amazing it was that one can drink 160 oz or more of beer, but that same person could never stomach that much water.

Beer is amazing.

Ok I have to go restock for the game tomorrow night. I couldn't really read all the posts in this thread. So what should I get that the Beer store in Ontario sells? No Labatt Blue/Molson Canadian suggestions please.

Thanks for your assistance.
