Ok I have to go restock for the game tomorrow night. I couldn't really read all the posts in this thread. So what should I get that the Beer store in Ontario sells? No Labatt Blue/Molson Canadian suggestions please.

Thanks for your assistance.

I assume you live in Ottawa.............and if I am right, head over to Gatineau to the Costco (if you have a membership) and you'll have a choice of various Canadian beers, along with imports such as Bitburger, Guinness, Tuborg etc..............and at much lower prices than you can find in Ontario.

Ok thanks. Yes I have a membership - but is it really that much lower to make it worth the drive over there?

24 500ml cans of Bitburger, including taxes and return (20cents/can) will run you $41.11 total. When you return the cans, $36.31 is your final price.

24 of blue is around $22.00 plus taxes and return will run you less than $28.00 total.

When Costco carries it, I buy MGD, and when I returned the bottles in Ontatio, I compared the Ontario prices, per 24, and I was saving almost $10 per case...........including taxes.

They post a "unit pricing" per 100ml, and Bitburg is the best beer, and the lowest priced as well.

Wow - ok. $10 is getting into territory where it starts to become worth it.

Coors Light. $17 for a 30 case.

Oh and I once went in to buy some beer befor a BBQ and they had 2 30 Cases for $33 and some change. Not a bad deal if I do say so myself.

I went to two Flying Saucers in Tennesse (Memphis and Nashville). The best part about this chain is that all the girls wear those knee high socks. Just dirty. And awesome.

MGD is a great 'poker' beer.

You can drink a ton. They go down smooth.

You could make that argument for every beer that lacks flavour though

Most Miller products are easy to drink due to the lack of anything going on with the taste buds! If they're cold you can drink them just ho-hum.

Tough week at school and now it's beer time. Starting early so I can be nice and drunk for the Sabres - Sens game. I'm nervous, so I need to be drunk!

The first beer of the day is "Dale's Pale Ale" in a can. I've never had it before.

This is a good beer. Very hoppy and quite bitter. The can says "A Huge Voluminously Hopped Mutha of a Pale Ale".

Me likes. NYCers, you can get it at Whole Foods. All others, I have no clue where you can get it.

I had some of Stone's Arrogant Bastard Ale the other day. It was a great, great ale. Really good. Stone is a little craft brewery in San Diego, but they sell stuff all over the country. Check it out, their Imperial Stout is my favorite beer of all time.

Not really. Wine and liquor stores aren't allowed to sell beer, so beer can only be bought at grocery stores. And most stores are small anyways. Is Dale's Pale Ale a pretty common beer in Alabama?

The alcohol laws in different counties and states are strange. Some counties don't even sell alcohol (which I don't understand, because people will drink anyways, they'll just have to drive farther to get it - which isn't good for obvious reasons). I don;t know how people survive in those places.

I'm not really in Alabama, just outside Buffalo! We have several places that have entire stores devoted to beer, you can find almost anything.

I haven't tried that beer.

This girl I know, she's a true beer drinker (I mean she can drink!), she told me Arrogant Bastard sucked and I stayed away. But she also doesn't like Guinness or most Belgian beers, so maybe she's just nuts.

I'll pick some up this weekend.

You got it, plus there are some local places with wide variety, the Premier store in Kenmore has a good selection.

My bad, "Mudflap" sounded like an actual town name in Alabama.
