Ma, do you think I'm crazy that I got a lot of cidery-ness from the Maredsous on Fri?

I couldn't miss it, but sometimes my palate is totally on acid.

That's the one. My first beer of the evening. It seemed unlikely but both the flavor and the sharp carbonation made me think of mulled cider a lot.

Again, sometimes my tastebuds go to bizarro world though.

yeah i didn't get that at all... maredsous has a little bit of the caramel taste that you find in a lot of belgians...

but i feel like taste buds are like fingerprints, no way it tastes the same to everybody

Ah, that batch may have overdid the rat urine a bit. It tends to sterilize everything in the bottle.

I have never got that from Maredsous Brune personally. Doesn't mean it's not there though.
