Didn't mind this beer. I don't really like the brewery so I was surprised.


Ever have St Ambroise Oatmeal Stout on tap? That's my go-to stout at the pub. That and Aphrodisiac from Die du Ciel when they have it

Have not, no. Generally I don't drink muh stout excepting winter time back East. Oatmeal is always a good way to go, however!

they were both kind of boring. the other one was a little better than the oatmeal stout, but unfortunately that didn't make it good.

i wouldn't recommend these beers to anyone.

I don't think I'd go out of my way to get creemore, but I've never ha anything bad to say about their beers.

Same here really. Most of their stuff is ok but not really worth getting over other better beers. Their Kellerbier is tasty though, at least to me.

I'm going to the spring beer fest at the only cafe (local pub) on the 28th. Might stop by on the 27th too since I'm interested in what St Ambroise will have there. I'm a bit disappointed that Dieu Du Ciel & Charlevoix won't be there but it should be awesome still. I'm a bit surprised Flying Monkeys won't be there too but I can do without them anyway lol.

I'll probably hog all the Unibroue beers. My friends are going to have to carry me home I fear

indeed it does. ratebeer and beeradvocate give it very good marks.

EDIT: it's my first Saison - that i can recall. i wanna say i've had a tasting-sized try of Ommegang Hennepin, but it's been so long i am not really sure of how it was. this stuff is quite good though. IMO, it's like a really good german weissbier with some noticeable and welcoming hop bite. Ithaca's website says they use Amarillo, Glacier and Crystal hops in this one.

I've never had a well hopped one (usually they have little to no bitterness) and it'd be weird for the style but I bet it'd work well anyway. Sounds delicious.




My recent haul. Only mediocre one of the bunch is the Hoss dopplebock but I still liked it the last time I had it. We'll see if it's still good.
