I kinda just use a Pilsner glass for everything
- Feeling Glucky?

That's close to a weizen glass. Works for pilsners, lagers, and wheat beers. Not so much for most others though. At least in my opinion.

Best Tasting Beer: tie between Oberon, Two Hearted Ale and Magic Hat #9, (though we have a ton of local micro-breweries around here that have ah-mazing beer)

Best "getting drunk" Beer: Steel Reserve 411...worst.hangover.ever!

Wost Tasting: Guiness - I do not understand why people think Guiness is soooo awesome. Tastes like bitter ass sweat to me! I rather drink Leinenkugal Creamy Dark than that.

- Cinda

Guinness is not bad. It's probably the best hugely produced beer in the world actually. Most popular beers like that are god awful for their style. Guinness is a decent dry stout. I'm guessing you just don't like the style.

Not too shabby. Really smooth and rich, very drinkable Porter.

I can drink an IPA out of it, no problem

I could probably drink an IPA out of a boot as long as it was water proof lol.

It would definitely not improve the flavour though. yuck

Flavour doesn't need to be improved. Other beers need to be improved to the point where they are IPAs

Next beer club box came today.

I started off with a Loon Golden Ale from Vermont:

Crisp, drinkable... very biscuity. A bit sweeter than I normally like but not so much it's not enjoyable. Good start to the box. Up next, Skull Splitter Scotch Ale:

I really enjoy scotch ales, wee heavies, and stuff like that. A lot of them are really sweet. Some are almost too sweet but I still even like those ones. The 2011 Canada Day Innis & Gunn was one of those.

Yea, that was an interesting one. I think they still have it at the Rhino.

Not my usual favvy, and this one is not changing my mind, but it's interesting. Makes you slow down for sure, there's a lot going on.

Even a couple of those William's Brothers ales have a similar taste to the style. I can understand why some people don't love them though. Anything on the extreme end of a certain flavour (too sweet, too bitter, etc) is pretty much an acquired taste.

I think they still have 'em at "the only" too, but they might've replaced them with the newer ones. I'm not sure. I have a few of the 2012 ones ready for Canada day. This years edition is less sweet apparently.

green flash brewing rayon vert

never heard of this. tried it and hated it. came close to dumping it, but powered through.

it starts off tasting like chloraseptic and warmed to chloraseptic plus band aid.

and yes, that's the head you get no matter how you pour it.

la rossa birra moretti

another italian beer. this one is actually okay. it's a doppelbock, whatever that means) and it's 7.2 alc which seemed weird because you don't really taste the alcohol.

Certainly on the sweeter side, I'm a fan of pretty much all the I&G products.
