I want that Karmeliet glass! I got some bottles of Karmeliet Tripel in September. Good stuff.

I got the Maredsous gift pack last year too. Love their beers. My glass looked different though.

I like that one you got ... not sure I'm sold on the ceramic but it's kind of neat. The Karmeliet glass is sweet, with the fleur de lis etching on the bottom.

Would you pay that much for an IPA?

You'd have to drink it so fast to get it while it's at its best. At least with the Westy you can spread it out over several years with it improving as it ages.

People are lining up outside the stores hours before they open to get the Westy sets here. Well, guess I'm not getting any since I can't do that.

I don't even know how that's possible. I guess the Toronto Star article brought in a lot of people who otherwise would never buy it.

edit: seems as though a lot of people are just doing it for profit. they're showing up on craigslist and kijiji for $500 (lol). the rest of the people are doing it because of the hype thanks to the local media.

Christoffel Double Hopped Blond. Yummy as (frank). Not an IPA since it keeps the honey malt I associate with lager styles.

The empty box thing is just them trying to get around ebays "no alcohol" policy. You can guarantee they are selling the beer too.

Typical Unibroue yeastyness. My entire living room smells like it now. As soon as I popped the cork the aroma jumped out lol. So good.

At one time it was my favourite beer, but then we went years without it showing up in Ontario again and I sort of forgot about it. I should probably get a few more bottles just in case we go through another drought like that.
