Found a bottle of that baby. Alésia cervoise (barley beer, I think?) The bottle is even sealed with wax. Can't wait to try it

That's a pretty damn good deal. It's probably supposed to be the same price as their other beers anyway though if I were to guess since it's a regular release. Still, $4.50? I wish it cost that much here. It's $10.90 here for a 750ml bottle.

Well, specials like that are frequent on unibroue's other 750 ml bottles, like Blanche, Blonde and Noire de Chambly, both Éphémères, Maudite, Fin du monde, etc. but the Terrible is always excluded (costs about $8-9 normally). It was probably an error in labelling, but still

All of those are tasty lol.

There's only ever been one Unibroue beer that I was disappointed with and that was their Quebec City 400th anniversary beer. Tasted very light (even at 8% or w/e it was) and it was overly carbonated. Underwhelming. It was fairly cheap because it was old though, something I thought added to the value but I didn't argue lol. I think I paid $6 or something. I had it this past summer when I was on vacation near Maniwaki. I had so many great Quebec beers that week. Such a great province.

If anyone in Ontario missed out on the Westvleteren 12 packs I recommend picking up some bottles of Gouden Carolus Cuvee Van De Keizer Blue before it sells out. It's technically not a quad but it is comparable imo. Many similar tasting notes. Absolutely fantastic beer.

Rochefort 10 is supposedly becoming an LCBO regular too and that is even better as a comparable.

The empty box thing is just them trying to get around ebays "no alcohol" policy. You can guarantee they are selling the beer too.

I would rather have the beer than sell it personally.

Went down really smooth, then gave a pleasant burst of smoky peaty kind of flavor. Im no expert but Im really trying to sample a wide variety of scotches and become informed. Delicious stuff.
