Stopped in at Casanova Liquor store in Hudson WI on the way back from Chicago. Picked up a growler of New Glarus Spotted Cow. Awesome summer beer, super smooth and creamy (I'm assuming from the flaked barley).

I agree that it is overpriced and the hype is a bit extreme but it's still a top beer for the style and quads are basically my favourite style so..

The Westy 12 was good to the point where it made Rochefort 8 seem weak, simple, and watery by comparison as a follow up beer. I have said before that I thought I liked St Bernardus 12 more but yeah.. no. Lol. Westy 12 is for sure better.

100 IBUs in a barley wine? What kind of monster is that lol. Sounds like an American strong ale but I'm seeing it labeled as a barley wine (just googled it)

2nd one is from Quebec. When will Quebec stop making amazing beer.
