Had some Trois Mousquetaires Double IPA this weekend in Chambly... 8.3% 130 IBU, tastes like citrus juice, almost no alcohol at all. Very surprising. Some people were comparing it to the Heady Topper.

Yeah, that release was leaked a while ago on bartowel. I've had all of 'em before. Most were good/great. Hibernus is the one I need to revisit the most because my experience with it has been weird. 1st time I had it I thought it was one of the best beers I've ever had. 2nd bottle I had tasted like stale vegetables which was gross. 3rd bottle was somewhere in between. There seems to be a huge consistency issue.

Didn't know about the Quebec feature Brickworks beer event though. Last year I went to their cask days event and it was ridiculous. Had like 15 microbreweries from Quebec, most of the microbreweries from Ontario, and then a ton from the rest of Canada for a total of 200+ beers on cask. I'm going again this year for sure if I can. They're releasing the list of breweries for this years event on Monday.

I mentioned getting this last page but I drank one tonight. Seemed like more of a decently hopped barley wine than a double IPA but it was quite a lot better than their rye pale ale in my opinion. This is the kind of beer I expect from Charlevoix.

I shared a bottle of St Bernardus 12 too. I stocked up big time. I don't think I'll run out for a long time. It's just as good as ever.

I must have this!

How does that work? Dry hopped? I wonder how fresh you have to drink it for it to be any good lol. Might be a good gin replacement.

I had these beers on tap last night.

The Stone 17th Anniversary Ale was excellent. Its a hoppy pilsner with nice balance.

The Founders Mango Magnifico was god awful! This was the first Founders beer that i can honestly say i won't try again. I guess it was the habanero peppers that it was brewed with? Just not working.

I had these beers on tap last night.

The Stone 17th Anniversary Ale was excellent. Its a hoppy pilsner with nice balance.

The Founders Mango Magnifico was god awful! This was the first Founders beer that i can honestly say i won't try again. I guess it was the habanero peppers that it was brewed with? Just not working.

speaking of, jolly pumpkin used to be an american fave of mine. now their beers with the same old names are hoppy and watery and so blech.

had a yards philadelphia pale ale today and you know i've had it before and it isn't even supposed to be some great beer, but i really enjoyed it. i think it's a good beer to drink on a hot day. better than i remembered it.

i had a magic hat too and enjoyed the yards 10x more.
