My golf group goes to Lake Placid every spring, and our first night is always at The Great Adirondack Steak and Seafood for their GREAT Prime Rib and their excellent in House Brewed beers.

Just down the Street is the Dancing Bears, which has a great Happy hour deal.

Haven't been to the LPP&B personally, but I have had several of their beers, which I would rate as good. The UBU is quite strong but drinkable, and I've enjoyed their IPA. If it were me going, a stop here would be a no-brainer.

Was in Lake Placid this past Labour Day weekend, and was able to tour the Olympic Hockey rink and walk right out onto the ice surface ( no ice at that time ) but it is astonishing to see how small the place was and how it must have been on the night when the USA beat the Red Army.
