Just a fyi, I'm very, very jealous for your Craft Beer Exchange - growler-filling stations in Sunocos.

The Sunoco thing has been great here. Generally their selection is quite strong, however they typically have fewer options than either:

Just bought a ticket for the Winter Warmers in Montreal. A bunch of breweries from Quebec will bring a very limited edition (well, limited to this event) of one of their strong beers, but with an added twist (often barrel-aged). There will also be a Gaulish-style feast.

It's basically an all-you-can-drink/eat.

Here's the temporary list: http://winterwarmermontreal.com/wwm4/brasseurs.cfm

Honestly it's best to even have whatever crap beer your friends like at your own house so you can give them that and save your better beer for yourself lol.

Drank the Dogfish Head female doges Brew yesterday. Awesome stout... sirupey, chocolatey there was a slight sourness, and some kind of bitterness I never tasted before... no idra if it's from the gesho.

And the World Wide Stout was way better whan I would have thought. Was from 2008, so the initial 18.8% might have been over 20%. It does not try to shy from its ABV. The alcohol burn was silk-smooth, comforting, like a port. Among the most complex beers I've had the chance to drink, and certainly the best imperial stout.

Hit up The National and Craft Beer Market in Calgary on the weekend, pretty decent joints if you're ever in the area.
