i had the festina peche which seems like more of a summer beer but it was delicious, and the midas touch also good

later i had the flying dog orchard ale which was surprisingly good, i really liked it, not at all like a cider like i feared

Sounds like those other ones were good anyway so no big deal I guess lol. I hate when stuff I want sells out though.

I just remembered that the LTM Baltic Porter is 10% too actually. I think that's the only other porter I've had with a double digit ABV but maybe I'm wrong.

Did you guys get the "Craft Beer Advent Calendar" out East? 2 in it's pretty average, but neat idea none the less. Porters from Nickel Brook and Back 40 (? think its from Alabama) so far.

I'm particularly excited about both Dominus Vobiscum Doubles.

We didn't get them in Ontario but they might have them in Quebec, NB, etc. It is a cool idea though.

They only had 100 cases at the brewery, and it waas 5 max per client. A guy on some Quebec beer Facebook group took our orders (with a $5 premium) and went to Charlevoix with three friends to buy 20 cases

This was pretty good, haven't had much out of Mexico that wasn't a Corona or Corona-like.

I know this is horrible, but a friend just texted me "R.I.P. Nelson Sauvin" and that made me chuckle.

Their dubbel and tripel are top 5 for the style for me. Really, really good. Their entire Dominus Vobiscum lineup is world class.

Also.. DeuS has nothing on their Brut.

I want those barrel aged versions lol.

Tonight I had an innus & gunn rum cask that I aged for a year. omg so yum.

This Winter Warmers was awesome. Kept looking for something light to start the day at 3pm. Had to go with the Avec les bons voeux from Dupont, at 9.7%. The rest was intense. Good thing we were 5, could taste every last one of the 45 beers without losing consciousness.

When I think of a light beer I definitely think of something 9.7%

I did a three beer blind tasting today and I actually guessed all three correctly even though that wasn't the idea behind it.

Beer 1 was Bernardus 12, Beer 2 was Chimay Blue, Beer 3 was Rochefort 10.

Yeah I'm happy with that. Bernardus > Rochefort > Chimay is my ranking btw,

i picked up a 4 pack of the founders breakfast stout.

pretty sure we've all had it before and loved the (frank) out of it.

i will report back later as if none of us have ever tasted it before.

i've never had chivas regal before, or if i have i don't remember it. i know people talk about it a lot but i never really listened to hear what they were saying about it.

anyway, last night my brother asked me to pick something at the liquor store to be my gift for christmas. i wanted to pick something between 30-45 bucks so it didn't kill his wallet. i chose a chivas regal gift pack because i really liked the little glasses. did i make a mistake? is it going to be poop?
