I always hear about chocolate and caramel associated with good beers. I dipped a carmello bar in some suds the other day, not bad. Doesn't quite match an oreo and milk but interesting combo!

Hey Guys,

I was reading about Sam Adams Chocolate Bock... Is this stuff even available anywhere now?

- eastonhockey

Maybe around Christmas time? I know that's when Budweiser usually does their chocolate brew. No doubt Sam Adams will be better though.

usually comes out in November and is sold in 750ML bottle, $15.00 a six pack, could not find if it was coming out this year, but has been a staple for a few years.

Octoberfest!

Never had Cream Ale, but I've heard a lot of people don't like it. Octoberfest might go over easier with the guests

My Grandpa loves Genny Cream Ale, which is why I'm tempted to try it.

I don't want to pay for it though... I'll just have to wait until I find one in the cooler at a family party.

Drank a lot of it in college. it is a little sweet but not terrible. You drink enough and you'll have a case of the Genny Screamers in the morning.

So true! My buddie had a 2-4 of screamers so naturally I induldged. The taste is decent but it gets old quick. As for the morning after...not good

If you like Alexander Keiths IPA, try Bluepoints Hoptical Illusion. It's along the same lines, just a little better.

However, when you tour the Brewery, they give you two 12 ounce free beers at the end of the tour, in the Hospitality room.

Just to give some holiday ideas, this brew is on sale locally for $199.00 24 OZ bottle. Buy a couple, it used to go for $599.00.

You are about to experience the strongest beer ever brewed. With an alcohol content of 25% by volume, we've broken our own record set by Sam Adams Utopias MMII in 2002. Beer enthusiasts have never enjoyed a beer like Sam Adams Utopias. When served at room temperature in a two-ounce serving, Sam Adams Utopias is an ideal after-dinner drink. Pour it into a wine glass or brandy snifter. Note the aroma. Take a sip and enjoy the ideal beer. People have asked what inspired me to brew such a unique beer? Drinkers have long been familiar with light beers. I wanted to show them the opposite end of the beer spectrum. A beer that is strong, rich and dark. Some would say, the ultimate beer. A beer without carbonation, one to be savored slowly. We started by using some of the world's finest ingredients, including all four types of Noble hops, which give the beer its earthy, herbal taste. The hops also add a spicy note. Carmel, Vienna, Moravian and Bavarian smoked malts add a rich amber color. A variety of yeast were used during fermentation, including the same yeast used in champagne. As a result of this unique brewing process, this flavorful, slightly fruity brew has a sweet, malty flavor that resembles the deep, rich grape taste of a vintage Port, fine Cognac or old Sherry. This limited edition ale has been aged in Scotch, Cognac and Port barrels. Your bottle of Sam Adams Utopias has been packaged in a unique, collectible copper-finished brew kettle decanter reminiscent of the brew kettles used by brewmasters for hundreds of years. We have produced only 8,000 bottles of Sam Adams Utopias in 2003 to be enjoyed by a select audience of better beer drinkers.

This past monday, I had my first taste of the coveted Utopia. Not exactly sure what year it was though. Regardless, it was nothing short of a religious experience. If you have the opportunity to try it, do it. You won't regret it.

Hm. Interesting. It is quite expensive. Funny thing is, if it wasn't a Sam Adams beer, I'd probably be more willing to break the bank on it.

Can I come over to your place when you get it? I'll wash the glasses afterwards.

I don't think it's in my plans. The local liquor/beer specialty store had it in their holiday flyer. Maybe if we could get four of us to chip in 50 bucks we could each have a wine glass full.
