Got a 4-pack with the promise that it would fill my "Pliny The Elder" soul hole and... well, no. It was really good though, extremely drinkable IMO.

They sell japanese style cheesecakes...every day there's a massive lineup out their door... and they've been open for ~ 6 months already... and I haven't met a single person who's waited in line who's said it was worth it.

bernardus 12, rochefort 10, achel extra > westy 12. westy 12 doesn't start reaching bernardus levels of good until it's 3 years old and that's vs fresh bernardus.

it's still world class but if it wasn't for the rarity it wouldn't have more hype than the beers i listed.

If you can get some from him I recommend it because places up here break up the four pack and sell them in pairs, so I have lady fiancée buy some and then I go in after.

It's not like a crazy hop bomb beer, if you were to like an ipa I would think this is it. Pretty fruity and almost no detection of a boozy flavor. I also think it's good because there isn't a strong malty presence.
