there's no wine thread, okay.



i've tried their cabernet sauvignon, their pinot noir, and now their merlot. all delicious.

not normally a merlot guy but this was very dry and fruity at the same time somehow. probs the driest merlot i've ever encountered. real good and only like 19 bucks.

so i was forced to go to a liquor store i generally stay away from because i've always found old beer and shady people there (i was running late and it was on the way) and you won't even believe what i found in there.

cigar city's guayabera! and it was only 3 months old.

the shady people were still there though.

my favorite was a borderline homeless looking dude with some phillies gear on and a 2 foot beard. when i walked in he was out front trying to come up with his plan. when i walked out he was trying to convince a clerk that they'd ripped him off on a lottery ticket and owed him 5 dollars.

okay. i'm starting to lose faith in the brewery. this was an entirely ordinary beer as far as i was concerned. i couldn't finish it fast enough so that i could move on to another.




they can go (frank) themselves with this one.




but i got some more truth serum and it totally saved my day.


i had another guayabera today too. and some bourbon. and a weird summer drink called a greyhound that looked like a ladies drink but i'm not sure if it was or wasn't.

wait. there was one more beer at the bar.

i didn't bother with a pic because i think i did it before. it was the troegs first cut. it's a mango beer but i wasn't getting much of anything out of it. i looked under the can and its best by date was 3 months ago.
