Found a few cans of these over in Quebec. Haven't had them since I was 18 as my go to getting drunk beer.



2/5 it is beer.

Saw these cans a couple of weeks ago and thought they finally brought back Pilsner Urquell to Quebec. I was disappointed.

it's another super local beer.

it's good, not great. kind of heavier or something than it should be.

alright, i think i mentioned this before but victory has always been a slight letdown to me because it's so over hyped (at least around here) and i've never really been blown away by one of their beers.

i can't tell you that this is some incredible version of the style or some amazing new deviation of an IPA or anything like that but i can tell you that while it still has that little bit of a funk that i don't love it is definitely the best victory beer as far as my taste buds are concerned.

it's got a couple different hops but the citra is one of them and as you know, that hop and i are in love.

anyway, it's nothing incredible but it's good. i wouldn't buy it again because there are so many better, proven options out there but if i was at the brewery and had to drink victory beer i'd be drinking tiny little tasting glass after tiny little tasting glass of this beer all day long.



EDIT: oh, it smells amazing. it smells better than it tastes. it smells like you just walked into a pineapple.

i have some other beers here that i bought for a little get together on shaturday. but i am tempted to try them and get real poopty drunk tonight. i shouldn't.

i've heard great things about this one but i'm not so sure.

it's carbonated as (frank), i'll give it that. but it's too malty for my taste or something. could also be that it's 7.2% and maybe that's a percent or so higher than i really go for.

there's lemon for sure, but no grapefruit or orange or anything cool.

i don't know. this one isn't my favorite.
