i guess i'm finally ready to talk about this.

last tuesday or wednesday i tried the pumpkin beer that i was gifted, roadsmary's baby.

it was pretty much all of the things i'm afraid of when it comes to pumpkin beer. nutmeg, allspice, cloves, and booze.

last tuesday or wednesday i tried the pumpkin beer that i was gifted, roadsmary's baby.

it was pretty much all of the things i'm afraid of when it comes to pumpkin beer. nutmeg, allspice, cloves, and booze.

i still really like old school pumpking but for sure most of those beers are nasty as hell, especially the watery ones.

this is another one that looked better on the shelf than it tasted in my mouf.



honestly, it tasted old. i know it just got there because i frequent the store but it tasted old to me. too malty, not hoppy enough. the drink by date is almost illegible so i have no way of really knowing for sure. my best guess is nov 23 2019.

the more i drink this the worse it gets.


the only fun in this post is that you can see my handsome self in the reflection on the beer bottle.

it sucked me right in. good marketing, i guess. but the disappointment was crushing.

this liquor store is literally a block from me but i think i'm gonna have to move on for a while. i'm struggling to find something in there that i haven't already tried. whether that's a lack of prowess in their ordering patterns or a result of my alleged alcoholism is up for debate. either way, my gps will help me pick a new liquor store. i'ma sort that poop by distance and get back to you.
