That's ridiculous. The stuff's expensive, but that's nuts. Must be the 120 minute? Their 60 minute IPA is great, and I like the Chicory Stout too.

Had this IPA a couple of nights ago and I quite liked it. Had some spicey overtones. Goes very well with curry.



Went to Liverpool yesterday with the wife. We got sloshed on Belgian beer and then went to the Tate Modern to laugh at all the modern "art" displayed there. Had the following:

I've had chocolate flavored beers before, but those were all stouts or porters. This was like drinking belgian chocolate, lovely tasting and light.

I need to find an LCBO that sells it... I found one that sells Affligem, but only the blonde... if I want the doppel or trippel, I gotta buy a gift pack that comes with 2 blondes, 1 doppel, 1 trippel, and an Affligem chalice for $15. Gotta keep on looking for singles, although getting the chalice is tempting

ok, I went back today, the $36 bottle is the Forte, the 120 is $20, and the 60 is normal price... I ended up getting the Leffe Brune though... pretty good

Agreed. For a sit down, drink a six pack kind of thing, 60 is really the best.

Helles Bocks are good

for new years I had a couple Tankhouse ales, a Pilsner Urquell, an Innis&Gunn, and some Belgian Doppel who's name I can't remember... wasn't great, despite being a trappist beer.
