The Canucks are pathetic in that regard.

Ooh, awareness ribbons! Great idea. Nothing says “I care” more than a strip of coloured fabric.
No wonder you’re our leader. |

Love Jagr’s speech, legendary!! The part about his girlfriend was hilarious. I’ve been watching highlights of his, he was so under appreciated, damn he was so awesome.
Regarding the Canucks retiring numbers, it’s a complete joke, as we all know. You could make a case for three players having their numbers retired, Bure, Henrik & Daniel, and even then it’s debatable. - Pacificgem

Have you heard how he manipulated the draft so he could play with Mario?
According to Craig Patrick, Jagr did his best to manipulate the draft so that he could end up in Pittsburgh playing alongside Mario Lemieux.
"I found out years later that when he was interviewed by teams ahead of us, he told them all that he wasn't coming over - bloatedmosquito[to the NHL] right away," Patrick recently told reporters at a Penguins alumni golf outing. "When we asked him that question, he said 'I'll be there tomorrow if you draft me.' I think other teams backed off because of that. We were happy he was there at #5. We were surprised he was there, definitely."
Jagr was reportedly willing to make more of a commitment to the Penguins than the four teams that picked before them -- the Nordiques, Canucks, Red Wings and Flyers -- because he "idolized" Lemieux.
The Pens definitely knew and the fix was in. I remember the commentary at the draft said he will take a while to come over. Nedved during his post draft interview said something like he was the best player there. Better than him. I knew right then and there the Canucks got ripped. |

Friedman says the Canucks appear to be after tanev just to screw the oilers or are they driving up the price so the oil overpay 😆 |

Thanks for those band suggestions, I'm listening to the Rose City Band right now, Porch Boogie.
I've been finding notes from my oldest Granddaughter all through the house since they left, found one this morning in the the drawer of the vanity in my en suite. |

The Oilers still have 7 back to backs to play, stop your whining. |

Not whining just stating a fact on how soft their schedule has been compared to ours. This late in the year with that many in hand is ridiculas. |

They play more back to backs than we do over the season and they have 3 back to backs in their last 8 games. I don't think it's soft at all. |

The bottom 4 Canuck D have been stepping up to the scoring of late. Sure helps when Canuck top 6 forwards are MIA. |
