The key is the growth he's showing offensively in his D+1 season, which many thought he might not be capable of. He's rounding out his game and that bodes well whether he plays top-pair/PP or a lesser role in the future.

No, probably not. They are using him in the bumper spot on their PP and he is producing. That being said, he is still a very solid defender and it is shooting his confidence through the roof.

Also, you don't make the WJC as an underager in Canada and play lots of meaningful minutes if you suck.
