laf was an animal as the 6th forward those last 2 PPs. - NYRangers1124
Kept the play alive by diving right before the 5th goal. Glad he got rewarded with a point. |

while sheshty should have had the horvat goal - he blew past miller like he was standing still. forcing outside is one thing, but it's 4v4 you cant be flat footed there. - NYRangers1124
Would we do McDonagh and Novak for Miller and a pick/prospect?
McDonagh would really help settle things down back there on the left side. I know he’s older but if you get and re-sign Novak that would help that part
Just something I came up with instead of heroin |

Nope, not enough back there and look at the remaining term on McD deal, you will change your mind. |

I think you’re afraid to trade guys Jan 🤷🏻♂️you aren’t the only one either
What about hanafin and Mangipane? That would cost more I think |

I am not, but getting McD due to the mileage on him and $6.75 mil per for each of the next two years is not an option I want to pursue. I like Novak, he is a solid 3C. But even with him in it, not enough for me to move Miller, but can understand the view. Just not a deal I am making. |

If you are trading Miller you better get a young up and coming defensemen that can play top 4 minutes. Otherwise it would set this team back |

Ya that cap hit and term remaining is a non starter. Plenty of other comparable options out there that won't handicap us from making signings or a significant move in the offseason |

Too bad Miller doesn't shoot right handed. With his size, speed, experience and offensive ability he could be a good winger |

One thing about McDonagh, some guys like him are like fine wine. Chara, Chelios, etc. He’s still good and playing 22ish minutes a game. He fits the 3 year time line for them. Novak would be the key tho, no pun intended, get a young 3C and they’re set there. Or Evangelista for RW, need a young player with McDonagh to make it worth it
It’s not my worst trade is it? |

Guy was money from November to February of last year. Since then, no good. |

Worst, no, and makes sense. Would love Hanifin, but Magiapane at $5.8 million is too rich for my good right now. |

I did one with mangy and hanafin but hanafin at 33%, so need 3rd party.
I’m not people realize how much cap space we have next year. Assuming goodrow and Chytil aren’t on the books (which are both pretty likely imo). So mangipane would fit fine |

I think those are both still considered somewhat bold assumptions. They will hold out hope for Chytil, and who honestly knows what they will do with Goodrow. Regardless of how obvious it seems to most of us here |

Biggest regression this year is miller. Biggest disappointment zib. Most improved and best surprise Laf and cuylle - nyrangers2
Not the least bit surprised by Cuylle. I said it last year when everyone wanted Crouse that we had our own Crouse in Cuylle and that it would be no time before hes scoring 20g. |

I played the Hanifin card few weeks ago. It would be an incredibly risky (because we would need to resign him) and expensive proposition. I like that hes a couple years older and has more experience, but... I dont know. I feel like defense isnt our biggest problem. Personally, they should drop Miller to pair with Schneider and Gus with Trouba before considering a trading Miller. |

If we could straight up add hanafin to our D without subtracting from the roster, that would be amazing. Could potentially re-sign him in the offseason with the cap increase and a goodrow buyout, but would be a squeeze. Highly doubt it happens tho, as the cost is likely too high for drury to pull that trigger

Laviolette certainly seems like he enjoying the job and the players enjoy him. Crazy what a simple attitude change can do. - blacksheep1
Kid looks like he still has another 20-30 lbs he can add to his frame. He didn’t look out of place or slow either. If Edstrom and Rempe can pan out as 3rd and 4th line guys plus Cuylle already playing the way he is/does, that’s the type of players I’ve been dying for us to add to the lineup. |

I think it was Mercogliano or Walker who reported that yesterday was the sixth anniversary of Rempe's father unexpectedly passing away, which played. apart in him getting the Broadway Hat. |
