I’ve changed my mind on who the rangers are. I wasn't on board with them trading picks earlier this year but I’m good now. After watching the younger guys they’ve brought up this year and Cuylle along with their collage prospects they will be fine to give up a first and second this year. LGR |

Ferraro summarized it well when he said that having Edstrom and Rempe able to play on our fourth line certainly changes the complexion of our team. I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much from either of them as replacements for Bonino and Pitlick. But they could actually skate, which was a nice surprise. Obviously it's been a tiny small sample size, but if they could somehow stick in the lineup and bring an injection of energy and physicality to the bottom six, that would be enormous for our playoff chances against teams like Carolina and Florida. |

Yeah it was tough to gauge Rempe given how little he played. If he could both tough and productive, that would a huge plus. Edstrom is more than fine. For person as big as he is, his skate is far from subpar. |

As much as i love the kid and I’d love to be wrong I just don’t think Rempe is a full time nhler. At least not yet. I can’t imagine he gets much more time against a really tough opponent tonight. Again I’d love to be wrong |

What do you base that on?
Not trying to be a Richard. I just don't know much about him, other than the little we saw. His skating didn't stand out as a problem to me, although again, I wasn't really making a point of looking for it. Just curious as to whether you've seen more on him. |

He didn’t touch the puck and he did seem slow physically and was obviously kept to only 5 minutes for a reason |

I assumed the main reason he was sat down was because we were so far behind and he has no experience with the coach, our (not Hartford's) systems, or the league. A little unfair to expect the kid to be at his best in the spectacle of an outdoor game on day 1.
I thought maybe you had outside sources. |

Edstrom came up and was given all the opportunities they could find for him and he’s stuck. Is it not fair to say rempe is not there yet? He wasn’t able to keep up in his very very limited ice time. Doubt he gets meaningful minutes against a way tougher opponent tonight. None of this is to say I think he’s never going to make it.

Honestly if either of them were able to stick in the lineup it would be gravy. Also don't have high expectations for Rempe, but at the very least it's good to see we have players in the minors who can step in and bring a different look and some youth |

They might have to try out berard next because he’s been incredible in Hartford. Small guy but can hang. That or they’ll make the trade that pushes vesey back down to the 4th. I think edstrom is here to stay |

Ahh thanks. Was thinking of a Rangers connection.
He’s had an interesting career. Super super inconsistent. 31 y/o but 3 more season after this at $9M. Woof. |

Has 6 seasons of 30 goals or more, that's not terrible. |

Hmm. You could be right. I didn't get the chance to watch as closely as normal and didn't really see him skate that much. |

Problem is timing and market value. If Kreider was doing then, what hes doing now... that contract would probably have a couple more mil tacked onto it. |

13, now 14, years in NHL and no playoff games is hard to do |
