You are getting obsessed with me liking hockey, that is what's sad
Do you want to say I have never heard of Roy for a 3rd time? Keep convincing yourself that I am not way too into this sport if you'd like. You are only wasting your time.
If anything I spend way too much time talking about hockey, most of us do. - Santo_44

I’m not tossing around accusations or anything, but this is starting to sound a lot like a case of you accusing me of what you are.
The Ole Donny/Geobbels accuse the other side of what you are tactic. - Arctic_AARDVARK
Nah I am just piggy backing on what the other posters are saying. The ones that constantly get into it with you.
And you say you rock EI all the time, so yeah you are unemployed and have a hole to fill and want to buy a jet ski.
I am caught up. |

You should buy a jet-ski. Oh wait, you can’t swim!
You’re so stupid Santo, that you don’t realize that 3 years has passed since I was paving in AB.

Nope, they require at least 3 divorces and at least 4 child support payments to own one. |

I must ask - Are you paying for child support for 4 kids or are you a deadbeat dad?
since you did bring it up.
sorry for interrupting the AA and Satos show. |

The RHD market is so (frank)ing thin. Honestly if the Kraken want to compete the next 3-4 years they should hold onto those guys.
Go to cap friendly and put in RHD...The list of potentially available DECENT players are bare.
Roy
Tanev
Parayko
Walker
Pesce
Andersson(maybe)
Dumba
players who probably wont be available until FA 2024
Myers
Hakannpa
I think Tre will be all over these bolded guys in FA if he doesn't already trade for them at the TDL. - Santo_44
I have to wonder if the past 4 games has allowed Keefe/Tre to consider sitting tight and just making a "Schenn-like" addition instead of anything bigger. Brodie and Lilly look good together ...Benoit and McCabe ...just need a veteran banger to play with Rielly and maybe they can envision 3 decent pairings. Gio and Timmy as backups.
If so ....maybe the easy play is to add an Eric Johnson or maybe a Seeler/Walker/Carrier type. He can save his bullets for summer and still show the team he's makin' moves.

Where's Monkey?
I need 10 paragraphs to read!
- Fakepartofme
I was actually at the gym. We're going to Mexico next month and I'm no longer fit. I don't want to get mistakenly airlifted out to sea in a helicopter by a bunch of Mexican do-gooders, so I'm trying to lose a bit of weight in a month. It's ridiculous but it also makes my wife happy.
The simple part of Era Adjustment is to pick a net netural comparison - so the one they typically use is 6 goals / game. If you adjust everyone to fit their stats in a 6 goal/game model average you can start to figure it out.
Generally you have a calculation that looks at the number of roster players on a team (like in 1981-82 there were 17, not 18 like today - that adjustment happened the next year). The same calculation looks at the number of games in a season obviously, and then the important one is to look at the total number of goals scored in the league minus the player you're looking at divided by games (so all team games divided by 2) to determine the goals/game - and then divide that by 6 (which gives you the 6 goal/game factor).
So Gretzky's 92 goal season game in a year when the average goals per game were 7.92 (without Gretz), the roster was 17 players and they played 80 games. So if you calculate that out, it's 92 x (17/18) x (82/80) x 6/7.92 and you get 68 goals.
This year Matthews' 49 goals in 53 games come in an as yet unfinished season - but scoring is at a rate of 6.12 (without Matthews). The roster impact is 1, so it's not important, but the games in the unfinished season give a 1.47 multiplier - so you have 49 x 1.47 x .98 x 1 which gives you a 71 goal era adjusted total.
That suggests that Matthews is scoring at a more prolific rate than Gretzky's 92 goal season. |

Yeah I mean the big fish that makes sense is Hanifin...just a lot of risk there so maybe they do not go that route.
The Walker/Carrier types are small D men...I find it hard to believe those are the guys Tre gets.
They have that 1st which is a solid bullet in the chamber that some other top teams are lacking. |

…in all seriousness though - the only divorced unemployed EI deadbeat is tat Canucks fan Marwood. Buddy literally brags about it.
I can’t say I looked at any PK stats - but I personally see Marner being a bit better on the PK. 5v5 I think Marner is a gong show most nights though.
Both exceptional players talent wise and are fun to watch. Too bad rest of roster though from having both and JT. But again you guys are lucky to watch that talent each night. |

Back in the day the goaltending was awful, nobody backchecked, no defensive systems, defenders didn’t stand in front of shots. So what Matthews is doing is pretty impressive.
But I would trade 2 of Matthews for 1 of Gretzky. |

I think Marner is the better player over Nylander and I think any other team would pick Marner all day. But I like Willy too. |

I would agree Marner is better - but it’s by a very small margin. Especially looking at 5v5 impact, both wingers, offence first players, primary points. I think a team would maybe be tempted to get Willy if they have set guys and are more looking for goals. |
