Burnt out but the stars aren’t doing it either. Paid to be better than this.

It’s obvious yes. Good teams play well in February & March. The games ramp up & the stars don’t disappear.

Boeser has had 4 goals called back this year. Top 6 has struggled. The PP has been trash for a long time. The PK still not good enough. Poor penalties. Goalies cooled off. Hronek has been meh. It all adds up to what we are seeing of late.

Yeah, a tired team needing some rest at home between games and practice time.

Bullpoop.

Good teams play well in May and June.

Most teams go through slumps at some point. When you're 1st in the league February and March are likely times to endure it because it's hard to match intensity, especially when you've played 10 games in 17 nights or whatever it is while travelling cross continent twice.

They play 12 of 15 games at home now between Saturday and March 31st. I'll be concerned if they're still struggling by spring break.

Does that explain the PP & PK? Chasing games costs energy when special teams are bad for a long stretch.

10 games in 18 nights is one heckuva grind.

Yet they're still outplaying teams at 5 on 5 which is what matters when whistles get swallowed.

If they were battling for a playoff spot I'd feel differently, to a certain extent.

It's probably their most brutal part of the schedule, following an all-star break which wasn't a break for multiple top players.

They'll probably lose to Boston as well which will bring panic to a season high.

Should be a good tilt on Saturday, bruins 3rd in 4 nights, Canucks 4th in 6 coming off the road 😆

Yeah the grind has them totally spent at the end of this trip. They couldn’t focus on coverage and just got beat.

They need practice time to fix special teams the changes have not worked.

They had games go against them where they played well enough to win in this slump. Today’s game against Krak wasn’t one of them.

Also, I like what Zadorov brings to the table but I'd rather him see less than 18 minutes a night.

Edit: It was only 15 minutes, it just felt like 20

Hronek’s play has really fallen off & should mean he’s resigned at a better team deal. Hopefully. Still one good RHD short imo.

The PP has been figured out league wide. Pressure & they force cross ice passes. Bobbled pucks too often & shots not getting through. Too static & predictable. Dropped at least 10 spots in the rankings.

Need some rest to reset & get their energy back. The top 6 is burnt out.

Missing Joshua big time & Soucy steadied the D zone rushes.

They didn’t win many battles in this one, completely off in this one. At least most of the road games are done and they can work on some things at home.

Why not structure a contract that includes a bonus for being a Stanley Cup champ? I'm not sure how bonus structuring works but say a $2 million bonus every year that he's a champ ?

If it all goes sideways it's probably easier to waive the NMC.

I wonder if management is thinking they made a mistake on Lindholm and package him for a bigger fish. He’s invisible.

I agree he is also. Ole Neemer is now suggesting he isn't. You can't bring everyone back someone has to be odd man out and I think Boeser is that guy.

Ive always said Ep, demko, hughes is your core and you build out from those key pieces. For the right price, anyone else can go. That being said id hold onto Hronek at this point.

Is Vantel's boy Mikheyev still in the lineup, how about Lefty's meatball line, that he claimed was developing some nice chemistry?
The only 3 forwards I noticed tonight, on the good side, were Garland, Miller and Bains.

I think he'll be fine. I see him doing a lot of little things right.

When we talk about guys that need practice time he's at the top of the list. He's only played 10 games as a Canuck and they're all since February 6th.
