Well, since he got his big contract, greedy perimeter Willy only has 10 goals and 10 assists in 18 games. - Zezel
I heard from a guy that Nylander is just about to sign a new endorsement deal, and that's the only reason he's still playing hard.
Once they sign the contract, he'll stop trying because he's lazy and a Euro and gorgeous and I'm not jealous at all and he sucks. |

TJ Brodie and Timothy Liljegren played about 70 five on five minutes together in Morgan Rielly’s absence.
The Leafs outscored teams 7-0 in those minutes, winning 53 percent of the expected goals.
Rielly returns from suspension tonight.

I almost feel bad for Reilly. We’re due for a loss and we all know what the narrative will be. |

If we trade him now we can get a number 4 stay at home minute muncher D.

Malkin has the exact same GP, goals and assists as Tavares this year.
He's doing it for $6.1M a year. - Atomic Wedgie
Yeah. I find his give-a-crapometer is flaky. He's an insanely good player - who is about to be 38. I just don't think he always puts out an honest effort. That said, I will wholly admit that I haven't watched a lot of Penguins games this year, but when I have I'd noticed Crosby and Guentzel more than Malkin.

I’m honestly so amazing how I’m always right. I know it bugs you guys having to watch me make my predictions and hot takes, and always end up being right.
I said two days ago that Willy needs some grittier players on his line, and you’ll see more of this from him.
I’ll overlook his bad mental lapses lastnight, because that’s the best game I’ve ever seen him play. I honestly think part of the 11.5M deal, it was made very clear to Willy that he’s changing his game. He can’t skate away as soon as scrums start. He has to battle along the boards. One game he did it, let’s hope he keeps it going.

In solely Brodie's minutes in Rielly absence, the Leafs outscored teams 12-0 at 5v5 and had 61.5% of the expected goals.
Maybe keep Brodie away from Rielly for a spell and keep that pairing the same. The real challenge is finding that D who can play well with Rielly. They've interchanged a lot of them and Benoit and McCabe have both posted poor results, albeit in limited minutes - granted they are left-handed. He's out for the foreseeable future, but Timmins posted solid numbers alongside Rielly (+4 in 22 minutes of icetime and 56% xGF). |

We all know Tanev is a perfect fit there.
CGY knows it too though.
I think Dallas gets him. |

That we played a team with more than 65pts and maybe lost?
We already know the team plays great without morgan, record is like 32 amd 14 or something like that.
But the record with morgan is pretty decent as well. |

Engvall and Sandin were not as high on the depth chart as Roy is to the Kings. He's the #2 RD. You're welcome to dream but 1. I don't see why they can't resign him 2. Don't be disappointed when he isn't a leaf
Kings have aspirations of making the playoffs as they did so last year. I don't think they are going to re-tool and trade away important pieces in hopes of getting someone better. They likely just add to the existing team. - Aaron_85
Agreed. Roy isn't going anywhere and he likely re-signs with the Kings in the off-season. |

Doesn't sound like a terrible thing to try ..pair Rielly and Timmy and shelter them heavily with OZone and Matthews. Pure offense tandem. The other two pairs can defend the tougher minutes. |

Just about every Kings fan will disagree, they can't
Unless they plan on trading Byfield and going with another poop goalie tandem. |
