That's easy to check. OT has 5 points in 7 games since Jan 26th. Couturier has 0 points in 3 games since February 14th. Two very small samples.

Laughton has term so you can be a little patient with him if you don't get an offer you like. Walker or Seeler, one of the two, have to go. I wouldn't even care if they both went.

I actually think Carolina would be the best possible matchup for the Flyers. Obviously they (Canes) would be favored, but I could see that being a very tight series with lots of one goal games. They aren't loaded with firepower and their goaltending isn't gonna really scare anyone. I know they were picked by many to come out of the east at the beginning of the year, but that happens every year and they seem to disappoint.

Flahr had an interview a couple days ago with Flyers Daily...said he is as advertised.

That's hilarious that you mention that. I saw the same thing at one point last night. I was like, did you see that heavy check that ND just threw into the boards? The guy was already 4 steps away when ND leveled the boards.

I do hate the leafs but I really like Matthews. I wish we had him. I just go back tot he stupidity of paying all the forwards that much without seeing any playoff success. It’s high time they change it up and trade marner or nylander for some defensive help. Also seems weird that they’re better without him.

Of note, we get completely inundated by the media with leafs all the time even when they are bad. It’s beyond annoying and for some reason many of their fans are quite arrogant despite a lack of success. It’s like the yankees except they don’t win championships

He'll probably still have some trade value down the road if they eat 50%. He's basically the next Luke Schenn/Bogosian/Jack Johnson. From unlimited upside to toolsy role-player.

IMO Mario was the best ever. Guy could just score at will in a hundred different ways. And he was putting up 50-70 goals in the trap era, which is nuts. Pavel did too.... what a shame neither of them had OV's longevity and health.

I think it’d be a top dman but think that’s a stretch for marner. A very good young top ten dman should fetch you marner and maybe a pick stud dmen are harder to find than an elite scorer Marner is good but I’d explore trading him for sure. Him or nylander. They simply can’t find success with just these nice forwards.

I dunno about Makar but you could definitely get one of the best dmen in the league for him 1 for 1. Even at his cap hit he provides tremendous value.

The only problem is that he's UFA bound soon.

Name a top Dman that he would get 1 for 1, far cry from makar. You can get Noah Hannifan 1 for 1. Drafted 1 spot apart.

Exactly. Yep problems there. What we gave up to get him and what we signed him for. Probably the worst move by fletch once he’s done the contract he could be a decent bottom 6 guy for like 1 mil a year.

Personally I think the coaching staff could squeeze more out of Risto. We haven’t had a net front presence on the PP all season and I think he has the best point shot on the team. When DeAngelo got bought out, I was hoping we’d use Risto on the power play.
