And should have garnered a much more substantial power-play.

Im gonna take a win where we can and Im just happy they called a penalty at all because that has not been the case more often then not.

I find it frustrating because it seemed like they were actively trying to start calling that rule properly for a little while over the last 2 seasons, but it has stopped again. Like, why on earth would you install the right tool to make a positive change and then never apply it?
NHL = Nonsensical Hockey League.

I mean, he's not better than Leetch. I love Kreider, but Leetch is one of the 10-15 best defensemen of all time.

Thank you, that was my immediate thought.

It’s shame they traded Kovalev because he was on his way to being Kreider before Kreider

That was another terrible trade by the rangers

Kovalev was a COMPLETELY different player. Kovalev had mitts of the finest silk and a beauty of a shot.

I know just being homegrown is what I mean. That trade was really the beginning of the dark days ahead time frame. We had some rough years back then

And and attitude somewhere along the line, but well short, of Kravtsov.
He was one of my favourite players, though!!

I just noticed that Sykora hasn’t taken a single penalty all season with the Pack, that’s wild. 44 games. He’s an aggressive forechecker so that tells me he know what he’s doing, but I feel like he’ll be traded lol

even if it's for libs:

League sources recently told The Athletic that the Rangers have inquired with Seattle about both Yanni Gourde and Alexander Wennberg, but Gourde would be a tough trade to complete given his contract — one more year left at a $5.17-million cap hit — and given the fact that the Kraken loves what Gourde brings to the team.

With the 85th pick in the 1990 draft, the New York Rangers select, Sergei Zubov...

When they traded him, I was very disappointed.

The ONLY reason I feel Kreider may have a leg up is if he wins a cup, and plays his entire career as a Ranger. But I agree, it's hard to not pick Leetch.

WOW is that right? He plays as an agitator too which is crazy that he never took a penalty while playing that type of game

Would need to retain on both, which is possible since Gourde only has 1+ years so it’s not to killer for them and the cap is going up

Give up:
conditional first this year
First next year
4th rders for retentions
B prospect (ie-Sykora, Berard)

I’m willing to empty the draft cupboard tho

Yea that’s what I mean. It’s pretty difficult not to take a penalty playing that way

Its tough to trade anything we have right now cause theyre all playing well for Hartford. Sykora could easily turn into a Eeli Tolvanen kinda player.
