That’s 5 losses in a row. I guess it’s a perfect time for a slide rather than (frank) up their draft position? 🤷🏻♂️
Let’s be honest, they still need to draft as high as possible this year and next. Especially if they continue to be bereft of any offense outside of that top line.
Hate to see them lose. But it is what it is now and for the foreseeable future

Yep ... we're at least 2-3 years away from competing for a playoff spot, a lot of "dead wood" will be gone by then.
Luckily HuGo has been preparing for this (2024 and 2025 drafts):
- 4 first round picks.
- 3 second round picks.
- 4 third round picks.
I expect him to eventually trade some of those away for roster players.

yep, they should have 2 very good 1st round picks (their own). the other 2 1st round picks will be late 1st round. WPG this year and probably FLA in 2025. almost 2nd round picks.

Gonna be a long March.. - pete26
We all knew it would be painful but it beats being a bubble team for 30 years and watching an endless lineup of worthless plugs play. Anyone remember Pierre Dagenais? ... the guy could barely skate for Christ sakes!
I'm so happy we got rid of our 2 meatheads (Bergevin & Timmins) in the office, their ride by the seat of their pant strategy set us back many years with the ridiculous contracts they gave to marginal players. Good riddance!
