He's gonna score a hat trick tomorrow night. |

Hypothetical Josh Norris and bouche from Ottawa for 2nd to take that contract? Hawks get a second line center and decent prospect. But this is the kind of trade I could see Davidson doing. Just using this proposed trade as an example - Scott1977
Something like that I’d be very ok with. |

Arizona ticket sales don't support their payroll. The team has lost ten in a row and Armsrong said he is willing to listen. Tampa first and one of our seconds with a young defenseman thrown in? Who knows? Maybe take Dumba off their hands. |

I’ll admit that I’m not his biggest fan, but Hardman is on a nice run in Rockford. He’s got 6 goals in his last 8 games. Maybe he gets a cup of coffee with the Hawks after the TDL. |

My guess is the Hawks will sign Slaggert after his season is over, and he will see a couple of games with the Hawks.

How’s his skating? Improved at Nd?
I know he like to play a physical game and has some skill. |

Don’t know, just read a story that the Hawks want to sign him after his season was over. |

I watched the Notre Dame-Michigan game Friday night. Slaggert played a great game. He is a ferocious forechecker and great on the penalty kill. He had a penalty shot but didn't score but he is always around the net. He would be a nice signing. Nazar also played well. |

The same Cal Ritchie that is now, according to Craig Button, ranked as the #6 NHL prospect?
No way Colorado moves him; especially to a team like the Hawks that has nothing to offer that would help the Avs now. - TommyHawk

#Isles are 1-3-2 in their last 6.
Doesn't look like Patrick Roy is the answer there...
Just thinking about Stevefg, would this coach make you happy in a rebuild?
Personally glad LR is here. I like his demeanor, like how he's handling the kids, seems like a straight shooter |

I knew Kane was an elite superstar talent when he was with the Hawks. But I can tell you watching him play now with Detroit has been an eye-opening experience. The way he see the ice and his hockey IQ is off the charts. He's an amazing setup guy when he's not putting the puck in the net himself.
I can also tell you as a Wings fan we were pretty shocked when he chose to come to Detroit. He passed up several offers from teams that are already SC contenders. I was fairly skeptical about his health and the hip resurfacing surgery since no NHL player has really been able make a serious comeback from it. Then I read that Kane did 105 rehab sessions and really did his homework on the procedure and talked to people who've had the same procudure / doctor he had. Pretty amazing comeback... because I can't even tell he's lost a step. Hats off to him... and I hope he helps the Wings make a cinderealla story playoff run.
And then there's DeBrincat... another former Hawk that has been an incredible pickup for Detroit. Yzerman got an insanely good deal from Ottawa to get him. The Yzerplan keeps on rolling...
I miss not being in the same division as the Hawks and the rivalry the teams had. Our best rival at this point is Toronto... I enjoyed rooting for the Hawks and seeing them beat the Leafts both times this season. The playoff race in the Atlantic is pretty fierce right now. |

We can gain a glimpse of the future lineup when and most likely NOT “IF” a Slaggert and Nazar sign with provision they play in a couple NHL games in April as our final games occur. There might even be a possibility for Savoie to appear as well. Someone in a previous blog suggested how even only for two games recall both Allen and DelMastro; put them in a pair. They would benefit so much to get a taste of the NHL pace and see what they may have to work on . Well yes U like the idea but probably put each with a veteran as far as the pairings
I listened to the Rockford game last night and plan to both listen/watch more games + I am going to make time to see a game in person either at Wolves or another opponent in Rockford. I’ll pass along any observations after a few of those games
I will tell now though that Kaiser is the #1 dman and he sounds pretty good. I noticed Allen with some checks and Del Maestro comes across as a smart dman. Both Allen and Del Maestro get shots on net
I will tell now that Dach is injured again but I don’t think it is a concussion because the announcers would have added that. The announcers are enjoyable to listen and the color commentary is from Steve Martinsen who played with Gretzky I believe in Edmonton
I didn’t quite catch an entire remark within break of the play by play, when Martinsen said he likes Elite Prosoects for reference on some prospects and some other site for older prospects.
There sure is lots of turnovers and forwards do not play anywhere as responsible defensively compared to AHL. So the players know and thrive knowing they will have many Grade A scoring opportunities. Reichel sure did as he had both nice passes and received nice passes. He was playing so far with Seney and Cates - Cates actually sounds pretty good - Reichel is playing in the wing and had an assist in this game.
Martinsen did say that Reichel’s linemattes need to look for him as he is lurching. The announcers said often BTW with the skill from the dmen and both veterans and young guys up front, this is a powerful offensive team that can ring up some goals. Stauber played well in net. Gust and Dach out injured and Marcel probably injured as his name missing from lineup last couple of games |

They have the luxury of doing two things at once: trying to improve the team now and improving for the future.
I think the more immediate improvements will be during the offseason and less so at the TDL. |
