No, no one remembers that and no one cares. - Phillywhiteout
Lol yea, I was hopeful about Ratcliffe but as always, got used to the disappointment of him being a bust. Typical Flyers luck

We lost but that was a really good game.
Even with a loss I was proud of the boys.
That was probably the best hoxksy game that I've seen in some time.
If coots or frost hit those wide open nets we could have won that game or taken it to OT.
These boys can play and hold their own against the best in the NHL - Bob Habib
I agree! We had a family party so I recorded the game, which I haven't done in years. I didn't look at my phone so I could watch the game and see what happens. With no TK, the Flyers held up well agains the hot Rags. Great job Frosty and Coots

Man, have to think leafs would pay up for Seeler, player and cap hit fits. I could see panthers giving late round pick for Staal - wcorvette
I love Seeler and would hate to see him go, but yes, it would be great if a team like the Leafs would buck up and make us an offer we can't refuse.

I doubt they get much from Boston. They lack quality draft picks the next 2 years and I don't see them trading Beecher or Lysell for Walker. Everything else is just more of the same that everyone has. - Glak18
They have one I would be interested in .. the young defenseman Lohrei, though he might be redundant with Zamula. |

I think they will…it makes no sense to keep another RHD, when he’s played like this and is a UFA unless Risto gets healthy and someone desperate comes a calling. - landros 2
Especially when they can always resign Walker in the off-season. I am starting to think we cannot judge Briere on this upcoming deadline, he may end up making significant moves in the off-season where he can make better deals. |

The Athletic has the Flyers prospect pool at #6 in the NHL, up from 14 last season. Here is there reasoning:
Even after trading Cutter Gauthier and graduating Cam York, Tyson Foerster, Egor Zamula and Samuel Ersson, the Flyers’ pool rises year-over-year thanks to a strong 10-pick 2023 draft class led by one of the best prospects in the sport (I’ll save his ranking for my upcoming 2024 top-75 drafted skaters list). Their group lacks the depth of some of the teams slotted behind them here (the Blackhawks, Preds and Habs come to mind) but Michkov’s star power makes the difference.
Michkov in the first tier by himself, Bonk and Brink are the only ones in the second tier. |

The Penguins have not played since Thursday while the Flyers laid it all on the ice yesterday against the Rangers, and had to travel after. Can the NHL be more obvious? It's disgusting! |

I’m of the mind this is where we precisely will start to see what DB is as a GM. He has everything going his way to be able to make some key asset acquisitions. The guys he’s looking to move or seem to make sense are all playing solid…it appears to be a sellers market in what also appears to be an upcoming weak draft. The pins are all lined up….let’s see if DB can knock some down….you don’t need the off season to move pending UFA’s to desperate teams who have legit chances at the cup this year. |

We normally see the true team building moves happening in the summer around draft. I’m all for getting assets for the ufa and Laughton then seeing how DB operates in the offseason. |

The one golden asset the Flyers have that they could move in the off season to really help set the Flyers up is Konecny. I don't see him as a deadline move. Either way, I don't think the Flyers are going to do it but they should look to deal Konecny.

Sean Walker 50% retention = 1.325
Seeler with 50% retention - =387k
1.712 cap hit for a full defense pair should have excellent value. If the flyers take back the same or more amount should make it more valuable.
danny boy needs to capitalize on this situation.

how many times does this happen? So a rebuilding team should give another 5 year deal to guy who will be 30 in november?
of course you cant judge hi as doesn't fit your narrative. |

I read it this morning.....if the Flyers are 6th with that slop, I cant imagine how bad the 20+ teams below them are or where they'd be without Michkov |

their ranking is very deceiving then obviously.
Those have a shot no doubt. After that a lot of huge question marks. Vital they get some productive nhl level players even if not stars.

It was a great fight and of course MJL will root against ND and he was probably horrified that there was a fight. Rempe is a monster and he definitely got in some great shots but ND held his own and it was a great fight that brought me back to the good old days. - Don Nachbaur
If someone doesn’t like someone or something, you’ll never change their opinion. Deslauriers, Hathaway and Ristolainen are limited players but mostly big physical guys, which is the style of hockey MJL doesn’t seem to enjoy. If a player offers this and nothing else, no matter the price tag, he won’t like them. Even if they are playing well or do something right. |

too funny. wonder if scotty goes into a tailspin if traded? Not shocked he wants to stay. loves the country club.
walker laughton and seeler need to be traded at the deadline. you do that it is going in the right direction. |
