I'd like to see a discussion about how expected salary relates to expected goals and points for.
Throw in some expected goals against and expected wins and losses for excitement - golfingsince
You might get a bite on that out of the narrative monkeys in here. Some of those guys are the ones who like to talk imaginary stats, body language combined with mind reading, and tell us what happened in the future after they get out of their time machine they built out of cushions and cardboard boxes.

Always great topics. - Reubenkincade
When expected goals for change for the game from one period to another why aren't they unexpected goals? |
|
|
|
It's an insanely small sample size. Revisit the question at the end of the year. PDG started the year as a top 6 and look at him now. - NewYorkNuck
Yes naturally. Though PDG is not the same type of comparison. More in line as reclamation like Joshua type but in his case only had a short spurt.
However, the point is about development and projection. Not what he’s established. Which was why the conversation comment was comparing him to a potential trajectory like Burrows.
You jumped in where that stupid bumhole twisted what the conversation was about into making it a fact statement instead about speculation. He does that all the time. Like Canucks creating a gap in division, near start of season, that if held would have them making the playoffs. He is a miserable twat that is usually wrong, as well, and has zero foresight. |

That is an excellent question, hopefully one of the many analytic types here will have an answer. If I recall Vantel, ASL and Marwood are the analytic gurus around here. |

I thought we recently discovered that Mrs. Marwood was the actual guru. |

My comment had to do with your +/- post. Not about who it's on or fault.
The constant needing to blame a player(always Petey with a group in here) is getting so fkn old just like the constant pitting Petey against Miller. It's fkn cancer is what it is. The team is enjoying it's best season in almost 15 years and there's a group in here that spend all day every day crying about a player like we are going to miss the playoffs once again and it's all his fault. It's pathetic.
People want to constantly compare Miller vs Petey when the difference is so little yet Petey is 6 years younger. If Miller was up for contract next season, he'd be making more money. That's not on Petey, that's not on anyone... it's just the reality of the situation. Miller got paid great money for term that will go well into his declining years. It was based on his career which wasnt spectacular. The extra years are gravy when he'll be over 34... If he was a 100 point player at 24, and did it as a center, and up for contract this summer, he'd be getting massive money... He's got a couple of seasons left in him at this level. Why are the two contracts being compared... it's all moot. - boonerbuck
Some of those same posters that wanted Miller run out of town last year because he was making too much $. It’s like fantasy GMing in here and they’re not paying salaries. Enjoy the ride it doesn’t last long enough. |

There was a twitter poll this morning asking who will you blame if the Canucks trade Pettersson: Petey or the team?
It's a terrible poll question, but one of the top replies correctly states that if they are unable to sign Pettersson, it is Jim Bennings fault. If it weren't for his rampant dumbassery and affinity for 4th liners, Petey could easily be in the 3rd year of an 8 year deal right now for somewhere around 9 mil. - NorthNuck
Then you have a pouty b!tch asking for a trade every two weeks. This is on one person and one person alone to blame, EP. They have done everything to coddle this kid. I don’t think it’s a coincidence our management, most of the team, and recent draft picks are all Swedish. They brought in Lindholm to play with the freak.
This is a weird kid that wants total obscurity. I have nothing against him personally but I want him nowhere near this team |

There are numerous times that it's clear EP has a problem withJT , watch the body language, and the interactions, and it's clear as day .
Now think of that , and factor in this management group bought right into JT and locked him up long term . - onesmallleap
As I head said a year ago, miller is the captain, pouty is very unpopular. Don’t be surprised when he is gone |
