After Miller's incredible display of selfishness last season, there was no way he was becoming Captain. On a fresh 8 year deal, and a vet, he would have been Captain if he didnt show how bad he can break down when things don't go his way. He's doing a good job of repairing his image... but he's still on probation as RT showed us early in the season when he had to nip that bs in the bud with some tough love.
